In Rainbow Six Siege, you can earn Alpha Packs by completing and winning matches, progressing through the Battle Pass, advancing through seasonal Ranked rewards, or using an option in the in-game Shop. Ubisoft does not publish a current match drop rate or enough yield data to say which route earns the most packs per hour, so the most reliable approach is to combine normal play with reward-track progress rather than chase an assumed drop percentage.
Which Alpha Pack routes are available?
Ubisoft lists four ways to obtain Alpha Packs: match play, Battle Pass rewards, seasonal rewards, and the in-game Shop. Their requirements differ, and the published guidance does not establish a current packs-per-hour ranking.

How to make progress while playing
Play multiplayer and complete Battle Pass challenges
Battle Points come from playing multiplayer playlists and completing Battle Pass challenges. The free Battle Pass activates automatically at the start of a season, and its free reward tiles do not require a Premium Pass. Understand the Premium over-cap reward
Ubisoft says Premium Pass holders receive one Alpha Pack for each Battle Pass level beyond the maximum level. This is not a reward for every level on the free track, and it does not mean every player receives packs simply for reaching the normal level cap. Can you get Alpha Packs from Ranked?
Yes. Ubisoft says Ranked progression can unlock seasonal rewards that include Alpha Packs, alongside weapon and Operator customisations. The support page does not publish a pack count for each rank, so use the reward track shown for the current season to see what your progression can earn rather than relying on a fixed number from another season. Does winning matches improve your odds?
Ubisoft’s current Alpha Pack summary lists both completing and winning matches as routes, but it does not give a chance per match or explain how much a win changes the odds. What does the Shop route cost?
The current support page names the in-game Shop as an acquisition route but does not state an Alpha Pack price. Ubisoft identifies Renown and R6 Credits as in-game currencies and says R6 Credits can be purchased in the in-game Shop or Ubisoft Store; that does not establish which currency or price applies to every Alpha Pack option, platform, region, or season. What happens when an Alpha Pack contains a duplicate?
If an Alpha Pack awards a customisation you already own, Ubisoft says it converts the duplicate into Renown based on the item’s rarity. Alpha Packs can contain gear or weapon customisations from Common through Legendary rarity. The current support page does not publish the Renown amounts for each rarity. Ubisoft Alpha Pack guidance

- Keep playing multiplayer. Completing and winning matches are listed Alpha Pack routes; no current published odds make it possible to predict a reliable pack-per-match rate.
- Work on Battle Pass challenges as you play. Challenges and multiplayer playlists earn Battle Points, while free reward tiles are available without Premium.
- Play Ranked if you want its seasonal rewards. Check the active reward track for its specific Alpha Pack entries; published guidance does not guarantee a particular count at a given rank.
- Check the Shop before using currency. Offers and prices are not established by the current support summary, so rely on the listing shown in your own game.
Ubisoft’s pages do not provide comparable current yields for these routes, so there is no evidence-based way to identify a single best Alpha Pack grind by packs per hour. Combining match play with Battle Pass progression—and Ranked if you want its seasonal track—lets the same play session advance more than one route without depending on an outdated odds or price claim.
