To invite friends in Overcooked! 2 on PC, open the in-game friends list and send an invite. For Steam-to-Epic play, Steam players must first select Team17’s crossplay_branch in Steam’s Betas settings, then connect through the game’s Team17 friends system. This guidance applies to the base game’s Steam/Epic PC cross-play; it does not establish PC-to-console play.

How do you invite friends on Overcooked 2 for PC?

The steps depend on the mode. Campaign (story) co-op uses the in-game friends list. Arcade and Versus offer lobby or matchmaking options instead. Team17’s Overcooked! 2 FAQ says online play supports up to four players; each online PC player needs a controller or keyboard.

Invite friends to Campaign

  1. Launch Overcooked! 2 and open the in-game friends list.
  2. Select the friend you want to play with and send an invite through the game.
  3. Have your friend accept and join the campaign session.

Use Arcade or Versus

For Arcade or Versus, use the mode’s lobby or matchmaking options. These are separate from inviting friends into a Campaign session.

Does Overcooked 2 support cross-platform play?

The base game’s documented PC cross-play pairs Steam and Epic players. Team17’s Steam/Epic cross-play guide says Steam players need the crossplay_branch beta branch to play with Epic users, and Steam players in the same party must all be on the same branch. The documented base-game instructions do not confirm play between PC and consoles.

Overcooked! + Overcooked! 2
  • Get ready for a double helping of cooperative cooking as Overcooked! and Overcooked! 2 come together in chaotic harmony.
  • Overcooked! Play solo or engage in classic, chaotic couch co-op for up to four players in both co-operative and competitive challenge modes.
  • You must cook up a range of different dishes and work together in order to become the Ultimate, effective team!
  • Overcooked! 2 Overcooked returns with a brand-new helping of chaotic cooking action! Journey back to the Onion Kingdom and assemble your team of chefs in classic couch co-op or online play for up to four players. Hold onto your aprons… it’s time to save the world (again!)
  • Chop, fry and serve your way through a series of unconventional kitchens. Play with over 20 chefs in 75 levels across both games!

Steam player joining an Epic friend

  1. In Steam Library, right-click Overcooked! 2 and choose Properties.
  2. Open Betas and choose crossplay_branch from the dropdown.
  3. Close Properties and allow Steam to download and install the branch update.
  4. Launch the game and invite or join through Team17’s in-game friends system, rather than relying on a Steam or Epic client invite alone.

If other Steam players are joining, make sure they are all on the same branch. Team17 says switching branches does not delete progression.

Steam players inviting one another

Steam players who want to use the base game’s documented cross-play setup must also match branches: all should be on either the crossplay branch or the default branch. For Campaign, start with the in-game friends list. If Steam invitations fail, Team17 suggests getting everyone into the in-game lobby first, then joining Steam voice/group or VoIP lobbies.

What if the invitation or connection does not work?

Team17’s Overcooked! 2 support guidance lists checks that may help; they are not guaranteed fixes.

  • Confirm that Steam players have the appropriate branch selected and that everyone in the Steam party is on the same branch.
  • Use Team17’s in-game friends feature to invite or join.
  • Update PC drivers.
  • Check whether the network’s NAT is Open or Moderate. If you need help changing NAT settings, contact your internet service provider or router manufacturer.

What if your friends own different platforms or editions?

Check both the exact game edition and the platform before troubleshooting invites. The base Overcooked! 2 instructions above cover Steam/Epic PC cross-play. Overcooked! All You Can Eat is a separate title, and Team17’s All You Can Eat FAQ documents cross-platform play across Steam, Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PS5, including story levels. Every player must own All You Can Eat; owning the base game does not grant access to an All You Can Eat session.

Team17’s general FAQ also contains older platform wording about GOG and PC/Mac/Linux branches. The current Steam/Epic-specific instructions do not establish that those directions apply to GOG, Mac or Linux, so confirm compatibility for those setups before planning a session. Separately, the Xbox store listing says friend invites are currently unsupported there; that is an Xbox-specific note, not a rule for PC invites.

Taco Cat Games Oh No Banana Joe! Memory Duel Card Game, 3-6 Players
  • Pick, Duel, and Win: Each game, players pick five cards and memorize the tasks before the cards are hidden under the numbered cover cards. Then, the judge flips cards until a number card appears and the two dueling players attempt to complete the matching challenge first. The winner takes the stack of cards, then play shifts one to the left. Whoever has the most cards at the end wins. This fast-paced memory card game for family game night delivers exciting, competitive moments every single game.
  • Packed with Wild Tasks: Oh No Banana Joe! features two different card types, the 24 action cards, and the 24 verbal challenges, each introducing a different kind of quick-thinking test. • Real Excitement for Every Player: Unlike games where only one person acts at a time, Oh No Banana Joe! puts two players in direct competition while the rest of the group watches and reacts. This head-to-head party game format means the energy never drops, and because there are so many possible tasks, no two duels ever feel alike. It is a lightly competitive party card game that rewards quick reflexes and sharp memory in equal measure, perfect for family game night.

Quick compatibility check before you invite

  • Same base game on Steam and Epic PC: Steam players select crossplay_branch and use Team17’s in-game friends system.
  • Multiple Steam players: all Steam players in the party use the same branch.
  • PC and console players: the base-game guidance here does not confirm cross-play. Team17 documents PC/console cross-play for All You Can Eat, provided everyone owns that separate edition.
