Beyond the Pixelverse is a CurseForge modpack rather than a separate server program, and its original server pack targets Minecraft 1.19.2. Beyond the Pixelverse 2 targets Minecraft 1.20.1 on Forge. Those fixed versions must not be mixed with generic instructions for the current Cobblemon 1.21.1 line.

For a current Cobblemon 1.21.1 server, Fabric is generally the simplest loader, Java 21 is the expected runtime, and a small private group usually starts with about 6 GB of allocated memory. The procedure below covers both a clean Cobblemon server and the two Pixelverse packs, including networking, player setup, managed hosting and recovery when versions do not match.

Cobblemon is a Java Edition Minecraft mod. A server combines Minecraft, a mod loader, the Cobblemon mod and its required dependency files. A modpack adds a particular collection of mods, configuration files and sometimes world or script data on top of that foundation.
Beyond the Pixelverse is distributed as a CurseForge modpack. Installing the client pack alone does not create a joinable server. You need the server pack supplied for the same pack release, or you must build a server with precisely the same files and versions. The sequel is a separate project, not an upgrade path for the original.

| Pack or installation | Minecraft target | Loader noted in the available listing | What to install |
|---|---|---|---|
| Current Cobblemon line | 1.21.1 | Fabric is the straightforward route; NeoForge is also available but may receive ports later | The matching Cobblemon build, loader files and required dependency |
| Beyond the Pixelverse (original) | 1.19.2 | Use the loader and files declared by its server pack | Its listed server pack, reported as version 2.1 in the captured CurseForge summary |
| Beyond the Pixelverse 2 | 1.20.1 | Forge | Its own server pack, when available, plus every file specified by that pack |
The original pack has been listed with 20,771 CurseForge downloads, but that figure has no year in the captured listing and does not indicate that its server files are current. Public server-listing searches showed no active server for either pack at the time of the search; listings can be stale, so absence there is not proof that a server cannot be hosted.
Pick the correct path before downloading anything
If you want a current, unmodified Cobblemon server
Use the current Cobblemon release for Minecraft 1.21.1 and choose Fabric unless a specific add-on requires NeoForge. Search results disagree on whether the newest 1.21.1 Cobblemon build is 1.8.0 or 1.8.1, with dates of 6 and 12 September 2026 respectively. Treat those numbers as unverified until the official Cobblemon download page confirms the build you intend to run. Every player and the server must use that same confirmed version.

Open the pack’s profile in CurseForge and record its Minecraft version, loader, pack version and server-pack availability. The original pack’s captured server-pack listing is version 2.1 for Minecraft 1.19.2. Do not replace its Cobblemon mod with the latest 1.21.1 file. The sequel is listed for Minecraft 1.20.1 on Forge, and its creator was working on a new server pack; verify that the pack’s current files include one before attempting deployment.
Why mixing versions fails
Mod loaders check Minecraft and mod metadata during startup. A 1.19.2 server cannot load a 1.21.1 Cobblemon jar, and a Fabric client cannot join a Forge server simply because both display the same modpack name. Configuration files can also refer to exact mod IDs and versions. Treat the pack manifest and server pack as an inseparable set.
Requirements and capacity planning
| Component | Requirement or starting point | Important qualification |
|---|---|---|
| Edition | Minecraft Java Edition | Cobblemon is not a Bedrock Edition server mod. |
| Java | Java 21 for the current 1.21.1 Cobblemon line | Older Pixelverse packs may publish their own runtime guidance; follow that pack’s requirement rather than assuming every historical version uses the current runtime. |
| Loader | Fabric for the simplest current setup; NeoForge is an alternative | Fabric needs Fabric API. Forge-family installations need Kotlin where the pack specifies it; NeoForge ports can lag behind Fabric releases. |
| Memory | About 6 GB for 1–4 players; about 8 GB for 5–10; about 12 GB for 15 or more | Another guide estimates 6–8 GB for roughly 10 players and 10–12 GB when add-ons are enabled. Leave headroom for the operating system, backups and other services. |
| Network | Default Minecraft port 25565 | Players outside your home network need router port forwarding and a firewall rule that permits the server. |
| Storage | Enough for the server files, world, logs and backups | World size grows as players explore; do not treat the initial modpack download size as the long-term requirement. |
Memory is not a player-slot guarantee. Chunk generation, view distance, entities, automation and add-ons can make a lightly populated server use more CPU and memory than a busy but static world. Start with the smallest allocation that remains stable, then watch the server console and operating-system memory rather than blindly assigning all available RAM.

Self-host a current Cobblemon server
1. Install and verify Java
Install a 64-bit Java 21 runtime for a current 1.21.1 server. Open a terminal in the machine that will run the server and check:
java -version
The output should identify version 21. If the command is missing or reports an older release, correct the Java installation or PATH before installing mods. Startup crashes attributed to an old Java runtime are a common symptom of skipping this check.
2. Create a clean server directory
Make a new directory dedicated to the server. Keeping the world, mods, config, logs and launch script together makes backups and rollback straightforward. Do not place client-only shader packs, resource packs or unrelated mod jars in this directory.
3. Install the loader for the exact Minecraft version
For a current server, install the Fabric server loader for Minecraft 1.21.1, or the NeoForge installer version named by the modpack. The loader must match the server-side Minecraft version, not merely the version of your launcher profile. If you choose Fabric, install Fabric API as a dependency. If you choose a Forge-family loader, install Kotlin when the pack requires it.
4. Add Cobblemon and dependencies
Download the Cobblemon jar that matches the loader and Minecraft version. Put it in mods together with its one required library and any dependency named by the official release notes. A missing dependency can stop the server before it creates a world. Copying a dependency only to the client is not enough; it must be present wherever the loader requires it, normally on both sides.

5. Use a server pack for Pixelverse
For the original or sequel, download the server-pack archive for that exact pack release if one is provided. Extract it into the server directory rather than copying only the visible Cobblemon jar. Server packs commonly include loader files, configuration, scripts and a curated mod list. Keep the archive’s directory structure. If the pack page says a server pack is not yet released, do not improvise by running the client pack unchanged; verify the creator’s current instructions first.
6. Start once, accept the EULA, then start normally
From the server directory, run the loader-generated jar or launch script. A generic current-server example is:
java -Xmx6G -Xms6G -jar server.jar nogui
The exact jar filename can differ after installing Fabric, NeoForge or a pack. Replace server.jar with the filename supplied by your installation. On the first run, the server writes configuration files and an eula.txt file, then stops. Read the Minecraft EULA, change eula=false to eula=true only if you agree to it, and run the same command again.
7. Set safe server properties
Stop the server with the console stop command before editing server.properties. Set a clear server name, choose a world seed only if you want a predetermined world, and select a view distance that your hardware can sustain. Keep the default port 25565 unless another service already uses it; if you change it, players must use the new port and your router rule must match.
8. Test locally before inviting anyone
Join from the same computer with localhost, or from another device on the same network using the host machine’s private IP address. Confirm that a player can enter the world, receive a starter item or other pack-specific content, and travel through several chunks. Read the console for repeated errors before opening the server to the internet.

Install the original Beyond the Pixelverse server
- Confirm the profile. In CurseForge, select the original Beyond the Pixelverse profile and record its displayed Minecraft and loader versions. The captured server-pack summary identifies version 2.1 on Minecraft 1.19.2.
- Obtain the matching server pack. Use the server pack associated with that profile version, not the latest Cobblemon download and not the sequel’s files.
- Extract without rearranging. Preserve the supplied
mods, config, scripts and loader files. Removing apparently unused libraries can prevent startup. - Follow the pack’s Java and launch instructions. Historical packs can have different runtime expectations from current Cobblemon. If the pack specifies a Java version that differs from your current installation, use the pack’s documented requirement for this older profile.
- Start, accept the EULA and test locally. Only after the server reaches a stable prompt should you forward the port or copy the address to friends.
Install Beyond the Pixelverse 2
The sequel is listed for Minecraft 1.20.1 on Forge. That makes it a separate deployment from the original 1.19.2 pack and from current Fabric-based Cobblemon. Install the Forge version named by the pack, then install the exact server pack if its creator has released one. The captured listing mentioned work on a new server pack, so check the current project page for its release status rather than assuming the client archive is server-ready.
Because Forge-family packs can require Kotlin, inspect the pack’s dependency list and keep the required Kotlin files on every side where the loader expects them. A client that has the sequel’s profile but lacks the same Forge build, mod versions or configuration will fail during connection even if the server itself starts correctly.
Make the server reachable from outside your home
Find the host machine’s private address
Give the host computer a stable private address through your router’s DHCP reservation or an equivalent local-network setting. A forwarding rule tied to a changing address will silently stop working after a reboot.
Forward port 25565
In the router’s port-forwarding page, direct the Minecraft port 25565 to the host machine’s private address. If you selected another server port, forward that number instead. Save the rule and allow the Java server through the host operating system’s firewall. Router interfaces use different labels, so consult the router’s own documentation for the exact menu names.
Test from a different network
Use a phone on cellular data or ask a friend to connect with the public address and port. Testing from inside the same LAN can succeed even when the router does not support loopback connections, so an external test is the reliable check. Never publish your private address; give players the public address and port only.

- Compatible with Wide Screens - To ensure compatibility with the dual monitor mount, your each monitor must meet three conditions at the same time: First, computer screens size range: 13 to 32 inches. Second, screen weight range: 4.4 to 19.8 lbs. Third, the back of the monitor screen must have VESA mounting holes with a pitch of 75x75mm or 100x100mm.
- Regarding the compatibility with desks - Your desk must meet three conditions at the same time: First, desk material: Only wooden desks are recommended, plastic or glass desks cannot be used. Second, desk thickness range: 0.59" - 3.54". Third, the bottom of the desk should not have any cross beams or panels, as this will interfere with installation. We recommend carefully checking that your desk and monitors meets all above conditions before purchasing.
- Dual C-Clamp Hold - Worried your dual monitors might wobble or slip? Our upgraded base uses a larger platform plus a dual C-clamp structure to lock the dual monitor arm firmly to your desk. Each arm safely keeps your screens steady while you type, click and game—no shaking, no sliding, just a clean and secure setup you can trust every day. It also provides Grommet Mounting installation choice, both options ensure stable and secure fixation for your 0.59" - 3.54" desk.
- Full-Motion Adjustment For Comfortable View - Pull the screen closer when you’re deep in a spreadsheet, push it back to watch videos, or rotate to portrait for coding — moving everything smoothly with just one hand. The monitor stand offers +85°/-50° tilt, ±90° swivel and 360° rotation. Raise your monitor up to 15.75″ to support a healthy sitting posture. Whether you’re working from home, gaming through the night, or switching between video calls and documents, getting the screens to your natural line of sight helps relieve neck, shoulder and back strain so you can stay focused longer with less fatigue.
- Keep Your Desk Organized: By lifting both screens off the desktop, this dual monitor stand opens up valuable space for your keyboard, notebook, docking station or a simple, clutter-free work area. Built-in cable management guides wires along the arms, keeping cords out of sight and out of the way. Enjoy a tidy, modern workstation that looks as good as it feels to use.
When forwarding cannot work
Some internet connections place customers behind carrier-grade NAT, which prevents unsolicited inbound connections even when the router appears configured correctly. In that case, use a managed Minecraft host, a VPN-based private network that every player joins, or another service designed for inbound access. Do not expose unrelated router administration ports just to make Minecraft connect.

Client setup for your players
- Install Minecraft Java Edition and the launcher profile for the server’s exact Minecraft version.
- Install the same loader: Fabric for a Fabric server, or the exact Forge/NeoForge build for a Forge-family server.
- Install the identical Cobblemon version and the same modpack profile. For Pixelverse, import the pack rather than assembling a different collection by hand.
- Ensure required dependencies such as Fabric API or Kotlin are installed wherever the loader requires them.
- Launch once in single-player so the loader creates local configuration files, then close the game.
- Choose Multiplayer, select Add Server, enter the server address and connect. The address must include a non-default port when you changed it.
“Incompatible mod list,” missing-class errors and immediate disconnects usually mean the client and server differ in Minecraft version, loader, Cobblemon build or a dependency. Compare the complete mod list and filenames rather than reinstalling random jars.
Managed hosting choices
A managed host removes most router work and usually provides a control panel for installing a pack, changing memory and restarting the server. Availability and pricing change, so treat the following as examples of advertised support rather than guarantees.
| Provider listing | Pack advertised | Memory figure in the listing | What to verify before ordering |
|---|---|---|---|
| BisectHosting | Beyond the Pixelverse | 6 GB recommended | Whether the panel installs the same pack version you own and whether the advertised memory is dedicated or shared. |
| CreeperHost | Beyond the Pixelverse 2 | 4,500 MB minimum | That the Forge 1.20.1 server pack is available, not only the client profile. |
| ScalaCube | Both Pixelverse packs listed in its control panel | Not stated in the captured listing | The selected Minecraft version, loader and included modpack release. |
| BoxToPlay | Original Beyond the Pixelverse | Not stated in the captured listing | Whether one-click installation deploys the server pack and allows manual file replacement. |
Before paying, check four operational details: the exact pack version, the loader build, the memory included at the advertised price and whether you can download world backups. A one-click installer that silently selects a newer profile can produce the same mismatch as a manual installation.
Troubleshooting checklist
The server closes immediately
- Run
java -versionand confirm the runtime required by the selected pack. - Read the first error in the console, not only the final “server stopped” line.
- Check that every jar is for the same Minecraft version and loader.
- Remove duplicate versions of the same mod from
mods. - Restore the untouched server-pack files if you deleted a library or edited a configuration value.
Players receive a mod-list mismatch
- Compare the server’s
modsdirectory with the client’s profile. - Verify the Cobblemon version, loader and Minecraft version character for character.
- Install Fabric API or Kotlin on the side where the loader requires it.
- Do not copy a current 1.21.1 Cobblemon jar into a 1.19.2 or 1.20.1 Pixelverse server.
Local players connect but friends cannot
- Confirm the router forwards the same port configured in
server.properties. - Check the host firewall and the server’s listening address.
- Test from cellular data or another external network.
- Ask the internet provider whether the connection uses carrier-grade NAT.
The world lags or crashes under load
- Watch memory usage and the console while players generate new chunks.
- Lower view distance and simulation distance before adding more memory.
- Remove unneeded add-ons one at a time to identify a conflict.
- Keep regular world backups so a failed mod update can be rolled back.
Updates, backups and safe changes
Make a complete backup while the server is stopped. Include the world directory, mods, config, scripts and the server properties file. Label each backup with the Minecraft, loader, Cobblemon and pack versions.
For a modpack update, copy the world to a test instance first. Read the pack’s changelog, replace the complete server-pack file set when instructed, and launch the copy before touching the live world. Never update only Cobblemon because a newer jar exists; the pack may pin libraries, scripts or configuration to its original release.
Keep at least one backup from before every update and before installing a new world-generation mod. If the test server fails, restore the previous file set rather than trying to repair a mixed installation one jar at a time.
Quick Recap
Final setup checklist
- The pack name, Minecraft version and loader are recorded.
- The server uses the matching Cobblemon build and required dependency files.
- Java meets the selected pack’s documented requirement.
- Memory is allocated with room left for the operating system and backups.
- The first launch completed, the EULA was accepted and the console remains stable.
- Local connection works before port forwarding is attempted.
- External players can reach the forwarded port, or a managed host has been configured.
- Every player has the same loader, Minecraft version, Cobblemon build and modpack profile.
- A stopped-server backup exists before public play begins.
