ATMVB is listed on CurseForge as an Allthemods skyblock experience for Minecraft 1.19.2 using Forge. The latest release shown in the listing is atmvb-1.0.8.zip, updated September 27, 2023. The project page recorded 236,112 total downloads in CurseForge’s 2023 figures. The files page places the corresponding serverfiles-1.0.8.zip archive, along with older server packs, in the Minecraft 1.19 Server Packs section.
- A computer or managed server with read/write access to a dedicated installation folder.
- Enough memory for the server process and the operating system. Start with 6 GB allocated to ATMVB; leave additional memory for Windows, Linux, monitoring tools, and any other services.
- The Java runtime required by the exact Minecraft and Forge release. The ATMVB pages do not state a pack-specific Java major version, so check the release instructions and launcher requirements instead of assuming the system default is suitable.
- The same ATMVB archive and Minecraft/Forge combination installed on each player’s client.
- Administrative access to run a batch file on Windows or an executable shell script on Linux.
Choose local hosting or a managed host
A local server gives you direct control over files and hardware. A managed host trades some control for a web panel, automated installation options, and a server that can remain online without your home computer. Neither option is automatically faster; the exact CPU, storage, network location, and provider configuration matter.

When comparing providers, check the Forge version they support, whether an ATMVB installer exists, whether custom files can be uploaded, how backups are exposed, what CPU resources are included, where the server is located, and how you can recover the world if an update fails. Provider pricing, uptime, and commission terms are not established by the pack documentation, so verify those directly with each provider.
Download the correct ATMVB Server Files
- Open the ATMVB project page on CurseForge and select the release you intend to run.
- Open the release’s additional files and locate the entry labelled Server Files, not the ordinary client modpack download.
- For the latest listed release, download
serverfiles-1.0.8.zip. If you deliberately choose an older pack version, download that version’s matching server archive instead. - Keep the client pack version and server archive together in your notes. A client using one ATMVB release cannot reliably join a server running another release or a different Minecraft/Forge combination.
The Server Files archive is the starting point for a dedicated server. Do not simply copy a player’s instance folder and assume it contains the correct server launcher, libraries, and configuration.

Install ATMVB locally on Windows
Use a new folder dedicated to this server, such as an ordinary data directory you control. Avoid placing it inside a protected operating-system folder where the script cannot write generated files.

- Extract
serverfiles-1.0.8.zipinto the dedicated folder. Preserve the archive’s directory structure. - Confirm that the folder contains the supplied Windows startup file,
startserver.bat, plus the Forge/server files shipped in the archive. - Double-click
startserver.bat, or open Command Prompt in that folder and run it. The first launch creates additional server files and may take longer than later starts. - Let that first process finish its setup. Stopping it while files are being generated can leave an incomplete installation.
- Open the generated
eula.txt. Change the setting fromeula=falsetoeula=trueonly after reading and accepting Mojang’s EULA. - Run
startserver.batagain. The server should now continue into normal startup and expose its console.
Do not close the console window while the server is running. Use the server’s normal stop command when you need to shut it down so world data can be saved cleanly.
Install ATMVB locally on Linux
- Make a dedicated directory and extract the Server Files archive there with the account that will run the server.
- Check that the supplied Linux script,
startserver.sh, is executable. If it is not, the All The Mods guide gives this example:sudo chmod +x startserver.sh. - From that directory, launch it with
./startserver.sh. Use the Java runtime required by the exact ATMVB/Minecraft release. - Wait for the first installer pass to finish and generate
eula.txtand the other runtime files. - Edit
eula.txtso the line readseula=true, then launch./startserver.sha second time.
Run the server under a user that has read/write access to the installation directory. If the script reports permission errors, correct ownership or permissions for that directory rather than running every server process as an unrestricted administrator.
Recognize a successful first start
Forge and a large modpack can take a while to load, especially on the first run. The official guide’s checkpoint is: “When it says Dedicated server took xx seconds to load you’re good to go and can join the server.” Wait for that loaded message before attempting to connect or stopping the process.

If the first run exits immediately, check the Java version against the exact release, confirm the script is executable on Linux, and make sure the archive was fully extracted. A missing EULA acceptance, a read-only folder, or an interrupted first setup can all prevent a normal second start.
Configure only what you need
After the server has completed its initial setup, the main files you may adjust are server.properties, the pack’s configuration files, and world/server configuration directories. Make one change at a time and keep a copy of the original file so you can undo a setting that causes a startup failure.
Leave server-ip blank unless required
The All The Mods guide specifically warns that changing server-ip is usually unnecessary and can prevent the server from starting. Leave it at its default unless your hosting environment explicitly documents a required interface address.

Match gameplay settings to your group
View distance, player count, and activity in the world affect memory and processing demand. Increase settings gradually, watching the server console after each change, rather than applying several demanding changes at once. The 6 GB starting allocation is not a promise that every combination of players and settings will fit comfortably.

Record the ATMVB release, Minecraft and Forge versions, Java version, memory allocation, and every edited configuration file. This makes it possible to reproduce a working setup after a migration or rollback.
Connect players safely
- Install the same ATMVB release on each client that is running on the server. For the current listing, that means the client release corresponding to 1.0.8, Minecraft 1.19.2, and the matching Forge build.
- Start the dedicated server and wait until the loaded message appears.
- Give players the server address appropriate to your network or managed-host panel. Players should use the same address and any port specified by that environment.
- If a player receives a mod-list, protocol, or missing-mod error, first compare the client and server release labels and Minecraft/Forge versions before changing configuration files.
Keep a copy of the exact client pack archive you used. A launcher that silently updates a client while the server remains on an older release can create an apparently mysterious connection failure.

Deploy ATMVB on a managed host
Managed panels handle the operating system and network service, but the pack still needs the correct server files. The workflow varies by provider.

- Create a fresh Forge or NeoForge environment only when it is appropriate for the pack and supported by the provider. Confirm the Minecraft version and loader before creating it.
- If the panel has an ATMVB or modpack installer, select the exact pack release and verify that it installs server files rather than a client-only instance.
- If there is no one-click option, upload the extracted Server Files contents through FTP, SFTP, or the panel’s file manager. Preserve the directory structure.
- Configure the panel’s startup command, custom jar field, or ServerStarter setting if the provider requires one. The panel’s documented launch method takes precedence over a local batch-file assumption.
- Start the server and watch its console through the first generation pass. Stop only after the process has finished creating files.
- Edit
eula.txtin the panel file manager and seteula=true, then restart. - Check that the panel’s memory limit is at least your planned allocation and that the provider supports the exact Forge build used by the ATMVB release.
A host can simplify uptime and file transfer, but it does not eliminate compatibility work. Confirm the provider’s backup controls, restore procedure, editable configuration access, CPU policy, storage type, and geographic location before moving an established world.
Back up before updates or major edits
Back up the world while the server is stopped, or use the provider’s documented safe backup mechanism. Keep at least one copy outside the live server directory so a failed update cannot overwrite every copy.
The official guide describes two manual update patterns:
Update in the existing folder
- Stop the server cleanly and make a complete backup.
- Download the new release’s matching Server Files archive.
- Replace the pack directories in the existing installation with the directories from the new archive.
- Preserve your world and intentional server settings, then start the server and watch the console for errors.
Build a clean folder
- Extract the new Server Files archive into a new directory.
- Copy the existing
worlddirectory into the new installation. - Copy
local,server.properties,eula.txt, and any modified configuration or KubeJS files that belong with your setup. - Keep the old directory untouched until the new server has loaded and players have verified the world.
Do not copy every old file indiscriminately. Old libraries or generated files can conflict with a newer pack; move only the world and settings you deliberately need, using the release’s server archive as the clean base.

Operational checklist
- Write down the exact ATMVB, Minecraft, Forge, Java, and memory settings.
- Keep the server folder separate from unrelated applications and give it reliable read/write access.
- Back up the world before changing pack versions, configurations, or KubeJS files.
- Test a release change with a copy of the world before replacing the live installation.
- Make sure every client receives the same pack release before troubleshooting network symptoms.
- On a managed host, verify that the panel’s selected jar, loader, memory limit, and file paths match the uploaded Server Files archive.
