There are two reliable ways to host FTB Presents Integration by Parts DX: install Feed The Beast’s official server files on hardware you control, or order a managed Minecraft server that offers the pack preinstalled. The pack is Feed The Beast Pack ID 107, built for Minecraft 1.16.5 with Forge. Plan on at least 4 GB of server RAM; Feed The Beast lists 6 GB as the recommended amount, which is the sensible target for a multiplayer world. Use Java 11, confirm the current requirements on the official pack page, and choose the latest server files from the pack’s Versions tab before you let players connect.
Godlike.Host offers modded Minecraft server hosting with one-click modpacks, a built-in mod installer and up to three free backups a day.
What you are hosting
FTB Presents Integration by Parts DX is a Feed The Beast modpack rather than a standalone server application. Your server has to run the same Minecraft and Forge combination as the clients, and it needs the pack’s server-side files, configuration and mods. Feed The Beast identifies the pack as Pack ID 107.

| Pack | FTB Presents Integration by Parts DX | Use the Integration by Parts DX server files, not a generic Forge installation. |
| Pack ID | 107 | Useful when an installer asks you to select a Feed The Beast pack. |
| Game and loader | Minecraft 1.16.5 with Forge | Players and the server must use the matching pack release and Forge profile. |
| Memory | At least 4 GB; 6 GB recommended | Treat 4 GB as a floor. Allocate 6 GB when you are hosting a group, provided the machine has additional memory for the operating system. |
| Java | Java 11 | Install and verify a Java 11 runtime before launching. A Java 8 requirement is not supported by the current requirement summary. |
| Official files | Feed The Beast server installer and server-files browser | Use the pack page’s Versions tab to select the current server files for your operating system. |
The Java and memory figures above come from the official pack listing as represented in current search results. Because the page text itself can change, check the listing again when you download the files. Do not downgrade to Java 8 based on an old tutorial unless the current pack documentation explicitly says to do so.
Choose a hosting route
Self-hosting gives you control over files, backups, network rules and upgrades, but you are responsible for Java, the installer, firewall rules and recovery. A managed host charges a recurring fee and puts those tasks behind a control panel. Neither route changes the pack’s Minecraft 1.16.5 and Forge requirements.

| Initial setup | Install Java 11, download the official server package, complete the generated setup and configure access. | Select a plan and install the pack from the provider’s Minecraft or game-server panel. |
| Control | Full access to the server directory, scripts, configs, logs and backups. | Panel and file-manager access; the exact level of shell access depends on the provider. |

Route A: self-host with Feed The Beast’s files
1. Prepare the machine
Choose a computer or virtual machine that can stay online while players are using the world. Reserve at least 4 GB of RAM for the Java process, and target 6 GB for a real multiplayer server. The 6 GB allocation is not the same as total system memory: the operating system, monitoring tools and any other services need headroom. If a machine has only 6 GB total, giving all of it to Java can make the server less stable than allocating less on a larger machine.
- Install a 64-bit Java 11 runtime.
- Keep several gigabytes of free disk space for the server files, world saves, logs and backups; the pack listing does not publish a fixed storage figure.
- Use an account that can create files and open the required firewall rule.
- If the machine is behind a home router, make sure you can administer the router or obtain a public address from your network provider.
2. Verify Java before running the installer
Open a terminal or command prompt and run:
java -version
Confirm that the reported major version is 11. If the command is missing, or it reports another major version, install Java 11 and ensure the command points to that installation before continuing. Having Java 11 installed is not enough if the operating system still resolves java to an older runtime.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3. Download the official server package
- Open the Integration by Parts DX page in Feed The Beast’s official server installer or server-files browser.
- Use the Versions tab to identify the current server-file release. The latest version ID is not stated in the available documentation, so do not copy a version number from an old guide.
- Choose the download for your operating system. Feed The Beast lists Windows, macOS, Linux and FreeBSD support for the official server files.
- Save the download in a new, dedicated folder. Avoid mixing it with another modpack or an older Integration by Parts DX instance.
Keep the downloaded archive and the version information until the server has started successfully. If you need to rebuild the instance, those details make it possible to retrieve the same release rather than accidentally mixing files.
4. Run the installer and preserve its generated layout
Start the Feed The Beast server installer you downloaded and select Integration by Parts DX, using Pack ID 107 if the installer presents an ID field. Let it place the server files in the dedicated folder. The exact filenames and scripts can change between releases, so do not rename the generated jar, delete libraries or substitute files from another pack.

When the installer offers a choice of server-file versions, use the release selected in the Versions tab. A client may appear to install correctly while the server is missing a matching library or configuration; that is usually a sign that files from different releases have been combined.
5. Complete the first launch carefully
Feed The Beast’s public material does not document a pack-specific first-launch sequence, so inspect the files created by your installer. Standard Minecraft server behavior is normally as follows:
- Run the generated start script or the launch instruction supplied with the server package once.
- If the process creates
eula.txt, read the Minecraft EULA and change the file’s acceptance entry only if you agree to it. - Open
server.propertiesafter it is generated. Check the listening port and other settings before inviting players. - Start the server again with the generated script and watch the console until it reports that the world is ready. Keep the console output if the process stops, because the first error is more useful than a later generic failure message.
These EULA, port and script steps are standard Minecraft practice, not a pack-specific promise. If the installer supplies different instructions or a different file layout, follow those instructions instead of forcing the generic sequence.
6. Set a safe memory allocation
Use the memory setting in the generated start script or launcher configuration. The official listing gives 4 GB as the minimum and 6 GB as the recommendation. For a group, start at 6 GB when the host has enough total RAM, then observe the server log and operating-system memory use. Increasing Java’s maximum heap cannot compensate for a machine that is already swapping or for a world that is otherwise misconfigured.

Do not paste a start command from an unrelated modpack. The jar filename, library path and JVM options can differ by installer release. If you need to change memory, edit the script Feed The Beast generated and leave its file paths intact.
7. Make the server reachable
First test the server from the same machine using the address shown by the game client or the local network address. Once local access works, handle remote access:
Quick wins for a faster PC:
Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →- Allow the Java server process through the host operating system’s firewall.
- Check the port in
server.propertiesand make sure the router forwards that port to the server’s local address when the machine is on a private home network. - Give friends the public address and port, not the machine’s private address.
- If your internet connection uses carrier-grade NAT or blocks inbound connections, ordinary port forwarding may not work. In that case, use a network arrangement that provides an inbound address or choose managed hosting.
The pack documentation does not specify a special port, so use the value actually present in your generated server.properties rather than assuming a number from another setup.
8. Match the client installation
Every player should install the same Integration by Parts DX release selected for the server and launch it with the matching Minecraft 1.16.5 Forge profile. A client on a different pack release can fail during the handshake even when the server itself is healthy. Keep a written note of the version shown in the Feed The Beast launcher or the server-files page so everyone installs the same one.

Route B: use a managed host with the pack preinstalled
Managed providers remove most of the file-installation work by offering Integration by Parts DX in a game selector or as a preconfigured server. You still need to choose enough memory, protect the account, make backups and confirm the installed pack version. The following capabilities are the ones publicly listed for this pack; panel names and plan limits can change.
| Provider | Published setup path | What to verify before inviting players |
|---|---|---|
| BisectHosting | Order through its Minecraft selector and choose the pack; the pack is listed as preinstalled. | Confirm the allocated RAM is at least 4 GB, preferably 6 GB, and record the installed pack release. |
| Stickypiston | The pack is preinstalled in a Multicraft panel. World saves can be uploaded through World Manager. | Check the panel’s file and backup permissions, then test a world upload on a disposable copy before replacing a live world. |
| ScalaCube | Add a game server from the control panel and choose the pack during installation. | Verify that the selected entry is Integration by Parts DX for Minecraft 1.16.5, not a similarly named pack. |
| ZAP-Hosting | The service describes the server as automatically set up and preconfigured after payment. | Open the panel after provisioning, check the pack version and memory tier, and change account credentials if required. |
| CreeperHost | Lists a hosted page for the pack. | Ask support or check the order panel for the exact installation method, Java version and available memory; those details are not specified here. |
| Spot.gg | Lists a hosted page for the pack. | Confirm whether installation is one-click, what version is installed and how backups are exported. |
| GGServers | Publishes general Feed The Beast installation guidance. | That guidance is generic rather than pack-specific, so verify every pack and version choice in the panel. |
A preinstalled pack saves time; it does not remove compatibility checks. Before paying, look for the RAM amount, backup/export process, cancellation terms, server location and whether you can change the pack version. No current prices or player limits are established here, so use the provider’s live plan page for those values.

Why 4 GB is a floor
Feed The Beast lists 4 GB of RAM as the minimum requirement. That is a useful boot threshold, not a guarantee of smooth play with several players, exploration, chunk generation and background services. A server can start at the minimum and still run out of heap during a busy session.
Why 6 GB is the practical target
The same listing recommends 6 GB. Use that figure when selecting a managed plan or reserving memory on your own machine. Leave additional physical RAM for the operating system and any control-panel, backup or monitoring software. If the host has less total memory than the amount you intend to allocate, choose a larger machine rather than forcing the heap to consume everything.
Best Value
- Compatible with Wide Screens - To ensure compatibility with the dual monitor mount, your each monitor must meet three conditions at the same time: First, computer screens size range: 13 to 32 inches. Second, screen weight range: 4.4 to 19.8 lbs. Third, the back of the monitor screen must have VESA mounting holes with a pitch of 75x75mm or 100x100mm.
- Regarding the compatibility with desks - Your desk must meet three conditions at the same time: First, desk material: Only wooden desks are recommended, plastic or glass desks cannot be used. Second, desk thickness range: 0.59" - 3.54". Third, the bottom of the desk should not have any cross beams or panels, as this will interfere with installation. We recommend carefully checking that your desk and monitors meets all above conditions before purchasing.
- Dual C-Clamp Hold - Worried your dual monitors might wobble or slip? Our upgraded base uses a larger platform plus a dual C-clamp structure to lock the dual monitor arm firmly to your desk. Each arm safely keeps your screens steady while you type, click and game—no shaking, no sliding, just a clean and secure setup you can trust every day. It also provides Grommet Mounting installation choice, both options ensure stable and secure fixation for your 0.59" - 3.54" desk.
- Full-Motion Adjustment For Comfortable View - Pull the screen closer when you’re deep in a spreadsheet, push it back to watch videos, or rotate to portrait for coding — moving everything smoothly with just one hand. The monitor stand offers +85°/-50° tilt, ±90° swivel and 360° rotation. Raise your monitor up to 15.75″ to support a healthy sitting posture. Whether you’re working from home, gaming through the night, or switching between video calls and documents, getting the screens to your natural line of sight helps relieve neck, shoulder and back strain so you can stay focused longer with less fatigue.
- Keep Your Desk Organized: By lifting both screens off the desktop, this dual monitor stand opens up valuable space for your keyboard, notebook, docking station or a simple, clutter-free work area. Built-in cable management guides wires along the arms, keeping cords out of sight and out of the way. Enjoy a tidy, modern workstation that looks as good as it feels to use.
What the published requirements do not tell you
No fixed CPU model, storage size, player cap or world-border setting is published in the available pack information. Do not promise a particular concurrent-player count from the RAM number alone. Watch the server’s tick behavior, Java memory use and disk activity under the way your group actually plays, then resize if necessary.
Version control, updates and backups
Use the Versions tab as the authority
Feed The Beast identifies the pack page’s Versions tab as the place to check current server files. Before an update, write down the existing release, stop the server cleanly and make a complete copy of the world, configuration and scripts. Install the new release in a separate directory when possible; that gives you a straightforward rollback if a mod or configuration change causes trouble.
Back up before changing files
- Stop the server before copying a world so region files are not changing during the backup.
- Keep at least one backup outside the live server directory or outside the provider panel.
- Test that a backup can be restored to a separate instance before you rely on it.
- Do not overwrite a working configuration with files from a different pack version without comparing the changes.
Managed-host world transfers
Stickypiston specifically documents world uploads through World Manager. For any provider, use the panel’s documented upload and restore process, stop the server first and preserve the original world until the replacement has been tested. A successful file upload is not proof that the world is compatible with the installed pack release.
Troubleshooting common failures
| Symptom | Likely check | Action |
|---|---|---|
| The installer or launch script says Java is missing or incompatible. | Run java -version and inspect the script’s Java path. |
Install Java 11 and ensure the installer and generated script use it. Java 8 is not a verified requirement for this pack. |
| The server starts, then reports an out-of-memory condition. | Compare the allocation with the 4 GB minimum and 6 GB recommendation, and check total machine memory. | Move to a machine or plan that can provide 6 GB with operating-system headroom; remove unrelated services before simply raising the heap. |
| Players receive a mod-list or handshake mismatch. | Compare the server release, client release, Minecraft version and Forge profile. | Install the exact same Integration by Parts DX release on every client and server. Do not mix files from another version. |
| You can connect locally but friends cannot. | Check the generated port, host firewall, router forwarding and whether the internet connection permits inbound traffic. | Allow the Java process, forward the actual configured port and test from a network outside the home LAN. |
| The server folder has no usable start script or stops immediately. | Look at the installer output and the first console error; confirm that the download matches the operating system and pack version. | Re-download the official server files from the Versions tab into a clean folder. Do not guess a jar name or copy libraries from another modpack. |
| A managed-host world is absent or fails to load. | Check that the world was uploaded to the provider’s designated world directory and that the server is stopped during the transfer. | Use the provider’s documented World Manager or file manager, retain the original save, and verify the installed pack release before restoring it. |
| The console repeatedly asks for EULA acceptance. | Inspect whether eula.txt was created in the directory the script actually uses. |
Read and accept the EULA only if you agree to it, then restart from the same server directory. |
Operational checklist before opening the server
- Confirm the server is running Minecraft 1.16.5 with Forge and the intended Integration by Parts DX release.
- Verify Java 11 with
java -version. - Allocate at least 4 GB; choose 6 GB for a group when the machine can provide it safely.
- Record the port from
server.propertiesrather than relying on a copied tutorial. - Test a local connection, then test the public address from a different network.
- Create and restore a backup before players build anything valuable.
- Tell players the exact pack release and launcher profile they must install.
- Keep the installer archive, version information and any generated scripts together for recovery.
- Review firewall rules and restrict administrative access to the people who need it.
- After every pack update, start with a backup and watch the first complete server boot for errors.
Which route should you choose?
Choose self-hosting when you already control a machine with enough RAM, can handle Java and network configuration, and want direct access to every file. Choose a managed host when you prefer a panel, need a server provisioned quickly or cannot expose a home connection. In either case, the non-negotiable checks are the same: Integration by Parts DX Pack 107, Minecraft 1.16.5 with Forge, Java 11, and a memory plan that treats 4 GB as the minimum and 6 GB as the recommended starting point.
