To join the official World of Warcraft: Forever beta, first confirm that your Battle.net account has beta access. Then install the beta from the Battle.net desktop app and choose an available test realm. Opting in only gives you a chance to be selected; it does not guarantee access.
How to get access to the beta
Blizzard offers two routes: opt in and wait to be selected, or obtain access through an eligible World of Warcraft: Forever digital bundle. Invitations may be sent during testing. Blizzard’s announcement does not list bundle prices or confirm availability in every region, so check the terms shown in your regional checkout before purchasing.

If you buy an eligible bundle, its beta entitlement can take up to 30 minutes to appear. Restarting the Battle.net app may help it show up.
Verify your beta license safely
Do not rely on an email by itself to establish that you have access. Open Battle.net directly, sign in, and check Your Game Accounts for a World of Warcraft: Forever beta license. Blizzard warns that invitations may be used in phishing attempts.

Install the beta in Battle.net
- Update your graphics drivers, then open the Battle.net desktop app. Let the app update itself if prompted. If you do not have it installed, download it from Battle.net.
- Select World of Warcraft in the app.
- Open the Game Version menu above the Play button.
- Under In Development, choose World of Warcraft: Forever Beta.
- Click Install and wait for the installation to finish.
Join an available test realm
Once the beta is installed, click Play. Choose an available test realm and create a new test character when character creation is available. These are official beta realms, not unofficial or private servers.
What to know about the beta schedule and content
In its announcement, Blizzard said testing would run through October 21, 2026, the last full day of the beta, and that a later “Server Slam” would open the servers to everyone for several hours. The announcement did not give the Server Slam dates or times. These schedule details can change; check Blizzard’s current news before planning to play.

Blizzard’s announcement described an initial level cap of 20, rising to 30 later in the beta. Its Week 1 plan listed the Skyborne race and Zephras Isle, plus two dungeons: Hall of Thanes for levels 13–18 and Ruins of Lordaeron for levels 15–20. It also said more zones, dungeons, and a battleground would open as testing continued. Those are announcement-era plans, not confirmation of what is available in the current build.

Blizzard directs players with installation or performance problems to its Common Technical Issues and Solutions resource. The beta announcement does not provide a complete troubleshooting guide, so start with Blizzard’s instructions rather than assuming community workarounds are officially supported.
