Yes. Supercell distributes Clash Royale on Windows through Google Play Games on PC. The release supports mouse controls, optimized graphics, PC performance features, and synchronization with the mobile version. Supercell originally announced the PC release in October 2023, and its current support information continues to identify Google Play Games as the official PC route.

What you need before installing
Google’s current minimum requirements for Google Play Games on PC are:

Google recommends eight logical CPU cores and a gaming-class graphics processor such as an Nvidia GeForce MX450 for better performance. These are Google Play Games platform requirements; a low-demand game may not need all of that hardware, but the platform still performs its own eligibility checks. Google also limits availability by country or region, so check its live requirements and availability page if the game is missing.
Hardware virtualization may be called Intel VT-x, Intel Virtualization Technology, SVM Mode, or AMD-V. The BIOS/UEFI menu differs between laptop and motherboard manufacturers, so there is no universal menu path. Look under CPU, Advanced, Security, or System Configuration settings, or consult your manufacturer’s documentation.

How to install Clash Royale on PC officially
- Open Google’s official download page. Visit Google Play Games on PC and select Download.
- Run the installer. Open the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions. Google Play Games may take several minutes to install and will notify you if the computer does not meet its requirements.
- Enable virtualization if requested. If the installer asks you to enable Windows Hypervisor Platform, allow it and restart Windows. If the platform still reports that virtualization is disabled, enable CPU virtualization in BIOS/UEFI.
- Sign in. Open Google Play Games and sign in with a personal Google Account. If you use multiple Google Accounts, choose the one associated with the game profile you intend to use.
- Search for the game. Use Google Play Games’ search field and enter Clash Royale.
- Check the listing. Open the official Clash Royale listing, then select Install. The official listing is available through Google Play Games.
- Launch the game. When installation finishes, select Play, or open Clash Royale from your Google Play Games library.
- Connect the correct game account. Sign in with the Supercell ID linked to your mobile account, if you use one. Confirm your player name, arena, trophies, and other account details before playing or making purchases.
How to use your existing mobile account
Installing the PC version does not automatically guarantee that the correct profile will appear. Account continuity depends on selecting the correct Google Account and/or signing in to the correct Supercell ID.
Before switching platforms, connecting your mobile game to Supercell ID is the safest approach. Supercell recommends it for preserving progress and switching between accounts. On PC:
- Open Clash Royale.
- Open the game’s account or settings area.
- Choose the Supercell ID sign-in option.
- Enter the email address linked to your existing account.
- Verify that the loaded profile is the expected one before continuing.
If the game opens as a new account, stop before progressing or buying anything. Check the Google Account currently used by Google Play Games and verify the Supercell ID email. For multiple Google accounts, Supercell’s current guidance says account selection is handled through Google Play Games or device settings rather than an older in-game Google button. How to fix common problems
Google Play Games says the PC is not compatible
Confirm the Windows version, SSD storage, RAM, processor, graphics hardware, administrator access, and virtualization status. A PC may run other games but still fail Google Play Games’ platform check. Google warns that computers below its requirements may not run games properly.

Virtualization is disabled
First, enable Windows Hypervisor Platform if Google Play Games prompts you to do so, then restart. If that does not resolve the warning, enable Intel VT-x, Intel Virtualization Technology, SVM Mode, or AMD-V in BIOS/UEFI. The exact setting name and location depend on your computer.
Installation freezes or fails
- Confirm that the PC meets Google’s minimum requirements.
- Run the installer with administrator access.
- Enable Windows Hypervisor Platform if prompted.
- Enable hardware virtualization in BIOS/UEFI if necessary.
- Restart Windows.
- Uninstall Google Play Games through Windows Apps & features.
- Download a fresh installer from Google and reinstall it.
If the problem continues, use the installer’s Send feedback option. Google’s troubleshooting guidance asks users to include system information and add #gpginstall to the report.
Clash Royale does not appear in search
Check that you are searching inside the Google Play Games app, not a general browser search. Then verify that Google Play Games has completed setup and that your computer is eligible. Availability can depend on your country or region and the Google Account’s Play country. Google’s live requirements page is the best place to confirm current availability.

Update graphics drivers from your PC or GPU manufacturer, close unnecessary background applications, keep Google Play Games and Clash Royale updated, and make sure the SSD has adequate free space. Try the game’s available graphics settings and test both windowed and full-screen modes. Restart Google Play Games after changing virtualization or Windows settings. These are general troubleshooting steps, not a guaranteed performance improvement.

Another Android emulator stopped working
Google warns that enabling Windows Hypervisor Platform can affect other Android emulators. If you already use one, its virtualization mode may conflict with Google Play Games. Do not casually disable Windows security or virtualization features; check the emulator’s documentation and decide which platform you need to use.
Can you use BlueStacks instead?
BlueStacks, MuMu, LDPlayer, Nox, and similar products are third-party Android emulators. They may offer additional Android-instance controls, customization, or compatibility options, but they are not the official Supercell/Google distribution route identified for Clash Royale.
If you specifically need BlueStacks, download it from the vendor’s official support page: BlueStacks 5 installation instructions. Do not treat an emulator’s availability as proof that Supercell provides the same support or account-policy coverage for it. Check current Supercell guidance before relying on a third-party emulator.

The official method covered here is for a supported Windows PC. Do not treat Google Play Games on PC as an official macOS or Linux installation. Users on those platforms would need third-party workarounds with different compatibility and support considerations.
Stay safe while downloading
- Download Google Play Games only from Google.
