To install Ubisoft Connect PC, download the installer from Ubisoft’s official page, run it as an administrator, follow the setup prompts, and restart your computer. You’ll need a Ubisoft account to sign in and manage games linked to it. These steps are for Windows PC, not console or mobile apps.
What Ubisoft Connect PC does
Ubisoft describes Ubisoft Connect PC as a desktop application for managing and playing Ubisoft games, accessing Ubisoft+ content, and redeeming rewards. Ubisoft calls Connect a free service that requires a Ubisoft account. Installing the app does not transfer ownership of games to your account.
Install Ubisoft Connect PC

Open Ubisoft’s official Ubisoft Connect download page and download the latest PC installer. Use Ubisoft’s page rather than a third-party installer source. The page is dynamic, so use it for the current download rather than relying on a fixed version number.

Find the downloaded installer, right-click it, and choose Run as administrator.

Follow the installer’s on-screen instructions until setup finishes.

Restart the computer. Ubisoft recommends restarting after installation.

Open Ubisoft Connect and sign in with the Ubisoft account associated with your games.
If a game download will not start

Confirm your internet connection is working and check Ubisoft service status.

Close Connect and reopen it with administrator rights.

Update the Ubisoft Connect desktop app.
If those steps do not resolve the problem, Ubisoft recommends reinstalling Connect before trying the game download again. If the error continues, contact Ubisoft Support and attach DxDiag and MSInfo reports.

Reinstall Ubisoft Connect if the installation is broken

Close Ubisoft Connect and back up your save files before uninstalling.

Uninstall Ubisoft Connect PC. During uninstall, choose whether to keep or remove installed games and local save files; decide carefully before confirming.

Delete the launcher’s cache folder. Ubisoft lists the default location as
C:Program Files (x86)UbisoftUbisoft Game Launcher. If you installed Connect in a custom location, check that location instead. -
Download the current installer from Ubisoft’s official page and repeat the installation steps above.

If Connect is offline or the overlay is not working
Ubisoft says Connect may run in Offline mode when there is no internet connection; automatic updates are not installed in that mode. For overlay problems, Ubisoft recommends updating Connect, disabling background applications during launch, and checking that security software is not blocking the app. If the issue remains, follow Ubisoft’s connectivity troubleshooting guidance.
