You may be able to join someone in Roblox without adding them as a friend: search for their username or open their profile and select Join Experience if Roblox shows the option. It only works when their activity is visible and the experience allows your account to enter.
Join through the player’s profile or search result
- In Roblox, search for the person’s username, or open their profile.
- Check whether the player is currently in an experience and whether Join Experience appears.
- Select Join Experience to try to enter. The experience must permit your account to join.
Roblox Support’s instructions for following or joining another player describe this route without requiring you to be friends. The option is not guaranteed to appear: the player must allow others to follow or join, and the experience may have its own access requirements.
Why you may not see “Join Experience”
The player may not be in an experience, may have limited who can see or join their activity, or the experience may restrict access. Roblox’s Online Status and Visibility settings let users control who can see their online status and the experience they are playing. Roblox says options vary by age and region, and people outside the selected visibility preference may see the user as offline or not see their current experience.
Check your own visibility settings
To review the controls on your account, go to Settings → Privacy & content restrictions → Visibility & private servers → Visibility. The available choices can vary by account, age, and region.

If Roblox displays Error Code 524
Roblox says Error Code 524 typically means you do not have permission to join that experience or private server. Its Error Code 524 help page lists restrictive privacy settings, a missing private-server invitation or membership, and temporary server availability issues as possible causes. Check the experience’s access requirements and, for a private server, ask its owner for the required invitation or membership.
If the player’s settings or the experience’s permissions do not allow you in, Roblox’s documented join flow provides no way around those restrictions. Avoid scripts, bots, or external services that promise to force a join: Roblox’s Creator Third Party App Policy prohibits automatically joining an experience without user consent.
