Spend upgrade materials to get through the next relevant fight—not to perfect gear you may soon replace. Stamina and progression details can vary by region and update, so check the requirements and energy costs shown in your current client.
Use the story as your progression backbone
Follow the next main story or Episode objective first. It gives your leveling route a clear direction and helps you avoid spending time clearing every optional marker simply because it is available. An independent guide recommends moving through Episode quests while doing relevant regional content and responding to gear or dungeon blockers as they arise (guide).
Optional activities make sense when they are nearby or serve a current purpose: for example, when a quest asks for a requirement you can meet locally, or when you need to improve your readiness for the next fight. Otherwise, continue toward the next story objective rather than treating all side content as mandatory.
Choose detours by what they solve
When deciding whether to stop, ask whether the activity advances an immediate story or unlock objective, resolves a named requirement, or helps with a fight that is currently stopping you. Weigh that benefit against the time spent traveling or completing the detour, and against any energy or upgrade materials you would spend.

| Approach | Best fit | Trade-off |
|---|---|---|
| Focused, story-first route | You want to keep moving through the next main or Episode objective and have no current blocker. | Skipping optional content can leave a specific requirement or combat weakness unresolved if it later becomes necessary. |
| Story route with useful nearby activities | A local activity addresses a current quest, unlock, or fight-readiness need. | Detours add time; avoid expanding them into a full clear of optional content without a reason. |
Community guides describe both a focused story route and a more relaxed route that picks up useful regional activities. Neither establishes a universally fastest path across regions, factions, gear levels, party availability, and updates (leveling guide; Global Season 1 guide; community article).
When progress stalls, identify the actual blocker
- Read the quest panel or current regional notice. Find the exact level, activity, item, or combat requirement stopping progress rather than guessing.
- Pick the closest relevant solution. Use a nearby quest or activity if it fills that requirement, or improve the gear that matters for the fight.
- Do only enough to clear the check. Once the requirement is met or the fight is manageable, return to the main objective instead of continuing the detour by default.
- Recheck the client if details seem inconsistent. Requirements and rewards can differ by region or version; do not assume a guide written for another service matches your game.
One guide specifically labels its information as Korea live-service data and reports a 1,000 Gear Score requirement for Krao Cave Normal, as well as hideout enhancement-stone rewards at levels 30, 35, and 40 with faction variation (Korea-focused guide). Those are secondary, region-specific claims—not universal thresholds. Use the requirement displayed in your own client.

Spend upgrade materials on the next check, not an imagined endgame set
Leveling gear is temporary. A Global Season 1 fan guide advises limiting enhancement of leveling equipment, and another guide recommends upgrading enough to reach the next tier rather than investing heavily in items likely to be replaced (Global Season 1 guide; gear guide). Treat this as community guidance, not a verified official rule.
- Prioritize upgrades that address a real combat problem or access requirement.
- Avoid heavy enhancement of an item you expect to replace soon.
- Do not rely on a fixed enhancement breakpoint from a guide unless it matches your region, version, and current gear.
Use Odyle Energy carefully—and verify its rules in game
A community article says Odyle Energy is used to open Expedition reward cubes and recommends considering whether to save it for later progression (community article). Before opening a cube, check the current client for its cost, your available balance, any storage limit, and how energy replenishes. The reviewed community figures—including reported recharge, daily gain, and storage-cap values—were not corroborated by official sources, so they should not be treated as settled current mechanics.

Corpus attributes this advice to creator Anders: “Do you need to speedrun to 45? No, absolutely not. It is not necessary. If you do want to speedrun anything, I recommend at least getting to your first expedition.” The cited page links the attribution to a creator video (Corpus article). It supports a measured approach rather than spending energy simply to chase a universal speed target.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Do not plan around a universal time-to-cap
The available community estimates and class impressions are anecdotal. Party access, equipment, region, and updates can change how quickly a character progresses; the evidence does not establish a dependable number of hours to level cap or one definitively fastest class. For practical planning, follow your own quest requirements and current client rather than adopting a speedrun route or thresholds from a different version.
