To link Twitch to Epic Games, sign in to the correct Epic Games account at EpicGames.com, open Linked accounts or Connections, choose Twitch, and authorize the connection. You do not need the Epic Games Launcher; the supported process uses a web browser.
Before you start
- Have access to both your Epic Games and Twitch login details.
- Use the Epic account associated with the game progress that should receive the reward.
- Check the Epic display name, email address, account ID, and—where available—the account ID shown in the game.
- Sign out of Epic first if the website has automatically opened a different account.
This matters if you have more than one Epic account or play on multiple platforms. Twitch rewards are associated with the Epic account that is actually connected, not necessarily the account you intended to use.

Child or Cabined Epic accounts may not be allowed to connect social services. If the Twitch option is unavailable because of age or account restrictions, complete the required parental or account setup instead of repeatedly retrying.
How to link Twitch to your Epic Games account
- Open the Epic account-connections page in a computer or mobile browser.
- Select Sign in and log in to the Epic account that should receive Twitch rewards.
- Open the account menu and select Linked accounts or Connections. Epic’s wording can vary by interface and localization.
- Find Twitch in the list of services and select Link or Connect.
- Sign in to the Twitch account you want to use, if prompted.
- Review Twitch’s authorization request and approve it.
- Return to Epic’s connections page and confirm that Twitch is shown as connected.
If Epic does not show a sign-in control, another Epic account may already be active in the browser. Sign out, or use a private browser window, then repeat the process with the intended account.

How to verify the connection
On Epic, Twitch should appear as a connected service on the account-connections page. For a Twitch Drops campaign, also open Twitch Drops Inventory and check the campaign’s account-connection status when that campaign provides a connection check.
Seeing Twitch connected does not grant a reward by itself. Linking only tells Epic and Twitch which accounts should be associated when an eligible campaign distributes an item.
How to get Twitch Drops after linking
Twitch Drops normally involve three separate stages:

- Earn progress: Find an active campaign and watch an eligible, live, Drops-enabled channel for the required time or complete the campaign’s stated requirement.
- Claim the Drop: When it becomes available, select Claim in Twitch’s Drops panel or Drops Inventory.
- Receive it in-game: Launch the relevant Epic game and check its inventory, locker, mailbox, cosmetics menu, or other reward area.
Watching alone is not always enough. Twitch distinguishes between earning progress and claiming the reward, while the game publisher controls final in-game delivery. VODs, replays, and clips do not count for Drops, and Twitch limits progress to one campaign or channel stream at a time.

Campaign requirements, eligible channels, claim deadlines, and delivery times vary by game. For Fortnite, Epic recommends connecting Twitch before the event and before claiming the Drop. Some Fortnite rewards may appear without a prominent notification, so check the relevant in-game inventory.
“This Twitch account is already linked to another Epic Games account”
This error usually means the Twitch account is associated with a different Epic account, including an older or secondary account. Epic’s published workaround is:
- Sign in to the previously used or secondary Epic account.
- Open its account-connections settings and link the Twitch account there.
- Immediately unlink Twitch from that account.
- Sign in to the intended primary Epic account.
- Try linking Twitch again.
This is Epic’s recommended workaround, but it is not guaranteed to resolve every account-association case. If you cannot identify the other Epic account or the error continues, contact Epic Games Support.

Work through these checks in order:
- Confirm the campaign was active when you watched.
- Check that the channel was marked as Drops-enabled.
- Confirm you watched qualifying live content rather than a VOD, replay, or clip.
- Check that the required watch time or other requirement was completed.
- Open Drops Inventory and verify that the reward says Claimed, not merely earned or ready to claim.
- Confirm Twitch is connected to the correct Epic account.
- Compare the Epic account ID in account settings with the ID shown in-game if you suspect the wrong account is connected.
- Restart the game, or sign out and back in.
- Check the game’s inventory, locker, mailbox, or cosmetics area rather than relying only on a notification.
- Wait for the campaign’s stated delivery window.
Epic’s Fortnite guidance says that, in specific cases, a Drop can take up to 14 days to appear. That is not a universal delivery promise for every Epic game or campaign. Twitch also says that Drops Inventory retains Drops rewards for six months, but an individual campaign may have a different time limit for claiming or redeeming it.

Contact Twitch Support for problems finding a campaign, earning progress, or claiming the Drop. Contact Epic or the relevant game developer for an incorrect account association or a reward that Twitch shows as claimed but that is missing in the game. Include your Epic account details, campaign name, claim status, and relevant screenshots.
How to unlink Twitch from Epic Games
- Open Epic’s account-connections page.
- Select Unlink next to Twitch and confirm.
- Open Twitch’s connections settings.
- Under Other Connections, select Disconnect for Epic Games, if it is listed.
Do not unlink casually during an active campaign. The effect on an earned or claimed reward can depend on the game and campaign, and reconnecting a different Twitch account can create another incorrect-account association.

Can I link Twitch from the Epic Games Launcher?
The official linking route is Epic’s website in a computer or mobile browser. The Epic Games Launcher is not required.

The linking process itself does not require Twitch Prime or a paid subscription. Each Drops campaign sets its own eligibility rules.

Can one Twitch account link to multiple Epic accounts?
A Twitch account can be associated with another Epic account already, which can trigger an “already linked” error. Use Epic’s unlink-and-relink workaround or contact Epic Support; do not assume rewards will route to multiple Epic accounts.
Do I have to claim Twitch Drops manually?
Usually, yes. After earning the requirement, open Twitch Drops Inventory and select Claim before waiting for in-game delivery.
Can I earn Drops from VODs?
No. Twitch says Drops progress requires qualifying live content; VODs, replays, and clips do not count.

You may be signed in to the wrong Epic account, using a Cabined or age-restricted account, or viewing a different version of the account page. Sign in to the intended account and check Epic’s Connections page. Account restrictions may require parental setup.

How long do rewards take to arrive?
Delivery depends on the game and campaign. Epic says some Fortnite Drops may take up to 14 days in specific cases, so do not treat instant delivery as guaranteed.
What if I linked the wrong Epic account?
Verify the account ID, then unlink Twitch from the wrong Epic account and connect it to the intended one. If the account association cannot be changed or a claimed reward is missing, contact Epic Support.
What if I have a Cabined Account?
A Cabined Epic account may be unable to link Twitch or receive Drops until a parent or guardian completes the required account setup.
