LEGO currently lists the Explorer Emilie and Mr. Dappermint outfits as rewards; you do not need to buy a LEGO set. Follow the steps below and check that you are signed into the right Epic account before linking.
Link your LEGO and Epic Games accounts
- Have access to the login details for the Epic Games account you use for Fortnite and the LEGO account you want to connect. Epic says you also need a computer or mobile device with internet access.
- Sign in to the correct Epic Games account. Check the account identity shown before proceeding; if it is not the account you play Fortnite with, sign out and use the right one.
- Open Epic account settings and select Linked accounts. LEGO describes the same area as Account management > Apps and Accounts. See Epic’s account-linking instructions or LEGO’s LEGO account-linking guide.
- Choose Link beside LEGO Account or select Link with LEGO account.
- Sign in to your existing LEGO account, or create one, and follow the prompts to approve the connection. LEGO says specific profile data is sent from the LEGO account to Epic.
- Return to the linked-accounts page and confirm that the LEGO account appears as connected.
The process starts from the Epic account used for Fortnite. That matters if you have more than one Epic account: the reward is associated with the account you connect.
Which free Fortnite outfits does linking unlock?
LEGO’s current UK LEGO Fortnite Styles page lists Explorer Emilie and Mr. Dappermint as free outfits for linking LEGO and Epic accounts. The LEGO Kids Insiders Club page also names Explorer Emilie as a linking reward. If you linked your accounts previously and already received Explorer Emilie, LEGO says Mr. Dappermint will appear in your Locker.
Players often call Fortnite outfits “skins”; LEGO and Epic use “outfit” or “cosmetic.” The official pages name these two outfits, but do not give a universal delivery-time promise. If they do not appear, check the account identities and link status, then contact Epic Player Support or LEGO Customer Service.

Parent permission and account changes
For a child’s account
LEGO says a child needs parent or guardian permission to link an Epic account. Epic notes that a child may have a Cabined Account with different features, but the cited help pages do not specify exactly how Cabined Account settings affect these particular outfits. LEGO describes changing a supervised child’s permission through the adult account’s Family settings.
If you linked the wrong account
Before changing a connection, make sure you are signed into the Fortnite account that should receive the reward. Epic directs users with a wrong or already-linked account to its account-change instructions. You can also remove the LEGO connection from Epic’s Apps and Accounts page, or unlink Epic from the LEGO profile through Connections. Follow the prompts on the account you are changing.

If linking fails in certain countries
Epic has a specific procedure for users located in Bahrain, Brazil, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, or Qatar who encounter account-linking issues. Follow the location-specific steps in Epic’s linking support article; Epic warns that other steps may produce errors. This is troubleshooting guidance, not a statement that linking is unavailable elsewhere.

You do not need to purchase a LEGO set to link accounts or receive the outfits LEGO lists for linking. Selected physical LEGO Fortnite sets have separate, purchase-dependent rewards that use QR codes and code redemption. Epic lists the following set rewards:
