There is no command in the cited Minecraft references that locates the End Portal room directly. Instead, use /locate to find the nearest stronghold, then search inside it for the portal room. The command differs by edition: Java uses /locate structure minecraft:stronghold; Bedrock uses /locate structure stronghold.
Which command should you use?
Enter the command for your edition in chat. Minecraft’s guide says commands entered in chat begin with a slash.

How to use the coordinates
- Open the in-game chat.
- Type the command for your edition and submit it.
- Travel to the returned stronghold coordinates.
- Explore the stronghold to find its End Portal room. The command gives the stronghold location, not a separate portal-room coordinate or a guaranteed route to the room.
What you need to run the command
The command may require cheats or operator-level permissions, depending on how you play.
- Bedrock single-player: Enable Allow Cheats in Game settings. Minecraft warns that enabling cheats permanently disables achievements in that world, even if you later turn cheats off. Minecraft command guide
- Java single-player: Commands can be enabled when creating the world or later through World Options. Minecraft command guide
- Multiplayer: You need sufficient permissions on the server. Minecraft command guide
If the command fails
Check that you used the syntax for your edition, that cheats or permissions allow commands, and that you are in a dimension where the requested structure exists. Bedrock’s /locate command searches for the nearest specified biome or structure in the current dimension and returns an error if it does not exist there. Microsoft Learn: locate command
