It outlines systems such as planting, shops, inventory, data saving, pets, and user interfaces; it is not an official Roblox guide or a tutorial from the original game’s developer.
What the tutorial series is
Posted on June 21, 2025, TwinPlayzDev describes the series as a learn-by-building project for Roblox Studio users. The author says it is intended to teach how systems come together in a playable experience, rather than provide the finished game. In a reply to a concern about copying, the author wrote: “It’s a tutorial series. Not a steal a game series. Everything is remade.” That is the tutorial author’s description of the project, not an endorsement from Grow A Garden’s developer.
The post’s scope is a list of released parts and planned subject areas, not proof that every promised part was completed. Its indexed content described additional parts as forthcoming; the current playlist and completion status are not established here.
Systems and published parts listed in the post
The series is presented as a collection of connected game-development lessons, spanning core farming gameplay and the systems around it.

World, interface, and shops
- Map setup and teleport buttons
- A seed shop GUI and animated cash GUI
- NPC dialogue
- A gear shop
- A custom inventory
- A player plot icon
Gameplay and supporting systems
- Planting and fruit mutations
- Data saving
- Global shop restocking with MessagingService
- A friend cash boost and a recall wrench
- Pets and eggs, which the post also names among the series’ broader tutorial subjects
Together, these topics suggest a project that teaches more than planting crops: it includes persistence, interfaces, shops, and multiplayer-related features. The post does not provide performance measurements or evidence that the listed features are all finished.
What development order does the author recommend?
In a December 2025 exchange, a reader asked how to order work on a pet-game variant. TwinPlayzDev recommended setting up the server-side data system and thinking through player data and how it will be used. The author’s personal approach is to handle data and backend work first, then finish with the UI and frontend, while noting that the order depends on the project’s complexity.

- Plan the data first. Decide what player progress and game state need to be saved, and how those data will support the systems you intend to build.
- Build the backend systems. Establish the server-side foundations before relying on interface elements that display or change game state.
- Add the player-facing layer. Build and refine interfaces after the underlying systems they present are in place.
- Adjust the sequence to the project. The author explicitly qualifies this as a personal workflow, not a universal rule; desired complexity can change the order.
This is advice from the tutorial author, not official Roblox platform guidance or a workflow tested against alternatives. For a related game, it offers a useful planning principle: decide how features depend on saved data before polishing their interfaces.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Who may find it useful
The series is aimed at people learning Roblox Studio who want to work through a farming-game-style project and see multiple systems built as part of one experience. It may also help a developer planning a related variant identify the kinds of components involved, though the forum post does not promise a complete, current end-to-end course. Treat the published parts as a dated outline and check the tutorial videos themselves for the lessons currently available.
