To make the Bad Dreams Cruller in Pokémon Legends: Z-A – Mega Dimension, progress the DLC story until Corbeau gives you Épice Noire and the special objective is active. Then speak to Ansha at her donut stand, choose the special cruller recipe dialogue, and add berries until all five flavor checks meet their targets: Sweet 310, Sour 310, Spicy 100, Bitter 40, and Fresh 40. One published combination is 3 Hyper Kasib, 3 Hyper Tanga, 1 Hyper Kebia, and 1 Hyper Coba; verify the on-screen checks before confirming.

Mega Dimension is additional story content, and The Pokémon Company says you must complete the Pokémon Legends: Z-A main story before progressing through the expansion. See the official DLC announcement and the current Mega Dimension DLC page.
The Bad Dreams Cruller is a special story recipe, not a regular donut-shop recipe. The detailed guide places it in the DLC’s Darkrai sequence; the official DLC pages do not publish the recipe or its quest steps.
Make the Bad Dreams Cruller
- Finish the base game’s main story. This is the prerequisite for progressing through the Mega Dimension story, according to The Pokémon Company’s September 12, 2025 announcement.
- Advance the DLC story until the Bad Dreams Cruller objective is active. Continue until Corbeau explains the required flavor profile and gives you Épice Noire.
- Talk to Ansha at her donut stand. Choose the dialogue option for trying the special cruller recipe, not the regular donut-making option. The special option brings up the relevant ingredients and flavor checks.
- Add berries while watching the flavor indicators. The targets reported by AllThings.How are:

Berry combinations to try
Published eight-berry combination
AllThings.How lists 3 Hyper Kasib, 3 Hyper Tanga, 1 Hyper Kebia, and 1 Hyper Coba. Destructoid independently reports the base of 3 Hyper Tanga, 3 Hyper Kasib, and 1 Hyper Coba, with a final berry contributing Bitter and Fresh. Use the game’s checks to confirm every target is satisfied rather than assuming a combination has worked.
Alternative if Hyper Tanga or Hyper Kasib are scarce
AllThings.How also lists 1 Hyper Qualot, 1 Hyper Chople, 1 Hyper Shuca, 1 Hyper Coba, 2 Hyper Tanga, and 2 Hyper Kasib. The guide advises adjusting the berries if a flavor target remains unmet.
