This makes the experience available to the general public; it does not create a manually hosted public server instance. Roblox’s documented creator workflow covers making an experience public and enabling player-created private servers, not manually creating a public server instance.
Make your Roblox experience public
- Open Roblox Creator Dashboard and select your experience.
- Open Configure > Settings.
- Under Audience, choose Public.
- Save your changes.
Roblox defines Public as “Available and discoverable to the general public on Roblox.” New games default to Private, so changing the audience setting is required when you are ready for public access. [Roblox Creator Hub]
Publish the game first if it is not on Roblox yet
Publishing and making an experience public are separate actions. In Roblox Studio, publish an unpublished experience with File > Publish to Roblox. Then use Creator Dashboard to set its Audience to Public. Roblox’s current publishing guide says up to five private games that have never been public may be made public per day; the limit resets daily. Making a game public, private, and public again does not count against this specific limit. [Roblox Creator Hub]
Check publishing eligibility if you cannot make it public
Roblox may apply current eligibility requirements to publishing and updates. Eligibility is tracked in real time: check Account Settings > Eligibility, and review Audience Reach progress in the game dashboard. Requirements can change, so follow the criteria shown for your account rather than relying on a generic checklist. [Roblox Support]

Public experiences, Limited access, and private servers are different

A private server is not a public server or a way to make the whole experience discoverable. The experience must already be public before its creator can enable private servers. To enable them, open the experience in Creator Dashboard, go to Audience > Access Settings, turn on the private-server option, and save. [Roblox Creator Hub]
If you are a player trying to create a restricted server, open the experience’s Servers section and choose Create Private Server, if the experience offers the feature. [Roblox Support]
