You can’t install Cyberpunk 2077 community mods on Xbox using an official documented method. CD PROJEKT RED’s modding instructions cover PC tools, folders and launchers—not Xbox One or Xbox Series X|S. Xbox players can use the game’s built-in customization features, but those are not community mods.
Why Xbox can’t use the documented modding workflow
CD PROJEKT RED’s official modding guide describes a PC workflow involving Nexus Mods, Vortex, game-directory files and PC launchers. It does not provide an Xbox mod browser, installation steps or a supported way to add community-created mods to the console version.
REDmod does not change that. The publisher describes it as free DLC and provides downloads and instructions for the GOG, Steam and Epic Games versions. Its tools run from a Windows game folder; they are not Xbox downloads or console installation tools. The guide also describes enabling or disabling compatible mods through REDlauncher or GOG Galaxy, and notes that older archive-folder mods remain supported. Those are PC instructions, not steps to try on an Xbox.
Xbox One and Series X|S: updates are not mod support
The distinction between Xbox generations matters for patches and the Phantom Liberty expansion, but neither console has an official community-mod installation path in CD PROJEKT RED’s guide.

CD PROJEKT RED’s previous-generation support notice says that after Patch 1.6, new content updates and improvements would be made for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. That platform support does not imply that Xbox Series X|S supports community mods.
What Xbox players can customize instead
The Xbox store listing describes built-in options for changing character appearance and vehicle colors, including features associated with Update 2.2. These are game features you use in Cyberpunk 2077; they are not files or content installed from the modding community. The Xbox listing identifies the available game features and platform details.

If you want to use community mods
The documented route is to play on PC and follow CD PROJEKT RED’s PC modding instructions. They cover the relevant PC tools and file locations. Buying or downloading REDmod or Vortex on its own will not add community mods to an Xbox installation.
