For building, exploring, or framing a screenshot in The Sims 4, the quickest way to get the angle you want is to use the camera mode that fits the task. On PC and Mac, move the standard camera with WASD or the arrow keys; use a Sim’s portrait to follow them, and press Tab for a clean Free Camera view without the interface.
How do I move the camera in The Sims 4?
In the standard camera mode on PC and Mac, use either WASD or the arrow keys to pan around the lot. Hold Shift while moving to travel faster. EA’s Tips & Tricks page lists these keyboard shortcuts.

These are the standard camera shortcuts; Free Camera has its own behavior, especially for zoom. If a key does not work as expected, check the game’s current control legend because mappings can vary with platform or version.
How do I make the camera follow or recenter on my Sim?
In Live Mode, right-click the portrait of a household Sim to lock the camera to that Sim. Press Enter to center the camera on the active Sim. These shortcuts are described in EA’s The Sims 4 Player Guide; because that guide is older, use the installed game’s controls if the behavior differs.

How do I get a clean shot without the interface?
On PC and Mac, press Tab to enter Free Camera mode. It hides the interface so you can frame a scene for a screenshot or video. EA’s video-making guide describes the controls below. The guide dates to 2015, so exact controls may differ in a later game version or on another platform.
