Find the controls for your experience
Open the in-experience menu and select Help. Roblox identifies this menu as the place to find keyboard shortcuts and mobile-device gestures for the functions available in that experience. Look for a camera control there; don’t assume a particular key or swipe will work in every game.

If you’re playing on a phone or tablet, use the Help menu to check the mobile gestures for that experience. Roblox’s general guidance confirms that such gestures may be listed, but does not identify a specific gesture for moving the camera up or down. Roblox Support: In-experience Settings and Help.

Open the in-experience menu, go to Settings, and check the Camera option. Roblox says players can switch between Classic and Follow only when the experience’s developer has not locked the camera mode.

If the Camera option is unavailable, the developer may have locked the mode. Roblox’s support guidance does not establish a general workaround for a locked camera or for an experience whose Help menu does not list a mouse-free camera input.
What Shift Lock and accessibility settings do—and don’t do
Roblox describes Shift Lock as a way to toggle camera modes, not as a control for moving the view vertically. The support page also lists Reduce Motion, Background Transparency, and UI Navigation Toggle as accessibility settings; it does not say that they move the camera.

If you still can’t move the view
- Check the experience’s Help menu for its keyboard shortcuts or mobile gestures.
- Check Settings to see whether the experience allows you to choose Classic or Follow.
- If no relevant input is listed, or the developer has locked the camera mode, the general Roblox guidance does not provide another universal mouse-free method. The available controls remain specific to that experience.
