The “squirrel suit” is the Mica Suit. To get it, earn 10 Mica Magicogs from the level 100 special FATE “Mascot Murder” in Living Memory, then trade them to Uah’shepya in Solution Nine at X:8.6, Y:13.5. You’ll need Living Memory flight to reach the FATE’s elevated location, according to The Escapist’s guide.
How to get the Mica Suit
- Progress through Dawntrail until you can access Living Memory and fly there. The FATE is reported to take place on an elevated platform.
- Find and complete the level 100 special FATE “Mascot Murder” in Living Memory.
- Earn Mica Magicogs from the FATE. The Escapist’s July 5, 2024 guide reports awards of 2–6, depending on completion rank.
- Travel to Uah’shepya in Solution Nine at X:8.6, Y:13.5. The Eorzea Database vendor listing confirms the NPC and location.
- Trade 10 Mica Magicogs for the complete suit. The total and reward range are reported by The Escapist.
How many times do you need to complete Mascot Murder?
It depends on your completion rank and how many Magicogs you earn each time. At the guide-reported range of 2–6 per FATE, the number of runs varies; there is no guaranteed run count. Higher rewards mean fewer completions before you reach 10.

What is the squirrel suit called in FFXIV?
The item commonly called the squirrel suit is the Mica Suit, a mascot-style glamour associated with the “Mascot Murder” FATE. Use “Mica Suit” or “Mica Magicogs” when looking for the vendor exchange in game. This is the Mica Suit, not the Mica Tee.
Do you need to buy anything to obtain it?
The suit is an in-game reward, not a physical costume or separately purchased item. Access to Dawntrail content may require owning and registering the expansion; the official Patch 7.0 notes explain that some additions require Dawntrail. Owning the expansion does not grant the suit—you still need to earn and exchange the Magicogs.

How certain is the vendor cost?
The Lodestone listing confirms Uah’shepya’s location, but its item-name list is not readable in the listing’s text. The 10-Magicog cost and 2–6 reward range cited here come from The Escapist’s guide, rather than a readable official cost listing. FATE rewards or vendor inventory could change in a later patch, so check the current in-game exchange if the listed cost differs.
