How to enter the Town Hall
- Go to the Town Hall in Backyard Battleground.
- If its doors are open and a Mystery Portal event is active, enter the building to access that event.
- If the doors are closed, check the in-game countdown or current official event information, then come back when the next event is active.
EA Forum replies describe access as tied to Mystery Portal events, not a permanent unlock earned through collectibles or badges. See EA Forums: “Re: Town hall doors wont open” and EA Forums: “How do u open up the town hall doors permantly”.

Why the doors may be closed
No Mystery Portal event is active
Town Hall may be closed between events. Waiting for the next Mystery Portal event is the relevant step; repeating badge or collectible tasks will not open it.
The game is in a Community Challenge period
Older EA Forum replies describe Community Challenges during a period when Town Hall could be closed. Treat this as historical context, not a guarantee of the current schedule.

Is there a regular opening schedule?
An older EA Forum reply describes a past monthly pattern: events ran Thursday through Sunday in the first, second, and fourth weeks, while the third week was assigned to a Community Challenge. It also says Town Hall remained open one extra day after an event, with the Portal shut down, before the doors closed. The reply labels the first-week event Super Mix, the second-week event Cats vs. Dinos, and the fourth-week event Boss Hunt. These details are historical and do not establish when Town Hall will next open. Check the in-game timer or current official event information rather than relying on that old pattern.

The regular Multiplayer Portal is a separate route for standard online and private matches. EA’s 2016 PC manual describes that portal, but does not give a Town Hall unlock method or a current Mystery Portal calendar. The game is Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2.
