To play Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4’s full Campaign during Early Access, preorder or prepurchase any digital edition on any platform. How to get Campaign Early Access
- Choose a digital edition. Activision says the Campaign Early Access bonus applies when you preorder or prepurchase any digital edition. The offer is stated for any platform.
- Buy it through the store for your platform. Activision lists Xbox Series X|S and Xbox on PC, PlayStation 5, Battle.net and Steam, and notes Nintendo Switch 2 availability. Check the relevant platform store for the digital edition and its availability.
- Wait for the scheduled access date. The full Campaign Early Access period is scheduled to start Friday, October 16, 2026 (PT). The official offer does not specify a precise in-game menu sequence for launching the campaign.
Digital and physical editions are not the same offer
The Campaign Early Access terms specify digital editions. Activision separately lists physical copies for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X through select retailers, but does not say that a physical preorder grants early access to the full Campaign. If early Campaign access is your priority, use the digital offer rather than assuming a disc preorder qualifies. See Activision’s edition details.

Campaign Early Access is not the Open Beta
The Open Beta is a separate, limited event; it is not the full Campaign Early Access period. Activision describes beta access separately, and a physical edition may qualify for the beta even though the Campaign Early Access terms specify digital editions. Check the relevant offer’s terms rather than treating beta eligibility as proof of Campaign access. Activision’s edition page covers the Campaign offer, while the official game page presents the game information and beta separately.
