Install Asphalt 8 through its official Google Play Games listing for Windows, then check the game’s controls settings and Google Play Games controls interface for keyboard bindings. Google Play Games supports keyboard input for games marked Playable, but official sources do not confirm a universal Asphalt 8 key layout—verify the controls shown in your own installation.
Check whether your PC meets the requirements
The Asphalt 8 Google Play listing specifies these minimum requirements for Google Play Games on PC. Requirements and availability can change, so check the live game listing before installing.
- Windows 10, version 2004
- A solid-state drive with 10 GB of available space
- Intel UHD Graphics 630 or comparable graphics
- Four physical CPU cores
- 8 GB of RAM
- A Windows administrator account
- Hardware virtualization turned on
Install Asphalt 8 through Google Play Games
- Open the official Asphalt 8 Google Play listing and confirm that the game is available for your region and PC.
- Choose the option to play on a Windows PC with Google Play Games, then follow the prompts to install Google Play Games if it is not already installed.
- Sign in with your Google account, find Asphalt 8 in Google Play Games, and install it.
- Launch the game and complete any first-run setup or downloads it requests.
Find and configure the keyboard controls
Once the game is running, inspect both its own control settings and the Google Play Games controls interface. The available options depend on how the game is supported on PC.
If Asphalt 8 exposes in-game remapping
Open the game’s settings and look for its controls or key-binding options. Google says optimized games can provide remapping through the game controls settings page. Use the bindings shown there, and change them if the game offers that option.

If Google Play Games offers the controls editor
Google’s controls editor can map keyboard keys to on-screen touch controls in unoptimized mobile games. Open the controls interface while the game is running, inspect the available assignments, and use the editor to map keys if it is offered for Asphalt 8. The editor’s availability and the controls it exposes can vary by title.
Verify the actual bindings in your installation
The official sources do not publish a confirmed default Asphalt 8 keyboard layout. Do not assume that WASD, the arrow keys, or any other particular keys steer, brake, or accelerate. Check the displayed bindings and test them in a safe in-game setting before starting a race.

Troubleshoot installation or keyboard input
- The game does not appear or install: Check the game’s live Google Play listing and Google Play Games compatibility status. Availability may vary by region or PC.
- Your PC fails a requirements check: Compare it with the published minimums, especially the Windows version, available SSD space, physical CPU cores, RAM, and graphics.
- Google Play Games reports an account or system issue: Make sure you are using a Windows administrator account and that hardware virtualization is enabled.
- Keys do not work as expected: Reopen the game controls settings and Google Play Games controls interface to see which bindings are active. The exact Asphalt 8 defaults are not established in the official guidance.
