Download Fortnite or Fall Guys through the Xbox/Microsoft Store; Rocket League is also available through Xbox Cloud Gaming, according to Epic. For progress from another platform, link your Xbox account to the Epic account that holds the progress before launching.
Install Fortnite or Fall Guys from the Xbox Store
Use the console’s Store rather than looking for an Epic Games Store app. The exact labels can vary, but Epic’s instructions point to the Xbox or Microsoft Store search and installation flow.
Fortnite
- Open the Store on your Xbox and choose the option to browse or search.
- Search for Fortnite, select the game, and follow the prompts to download and install it. Epic’s Fortnite support instructions describe this Store-based process.
Fall Guys
- Open the Microsoft Store and select Search.
- Type Fall Guys, choose the matching result, then select Get or Install and follow the prompts. Epic’s Fall Guys instructions specify this route.
Which Epic games and purchases work on Xbox?
Epic Games Store purchases generally belong to the Epic Games Launcher on PC or macOS; buying a PC version there does not by itself grant the Xbox version. Epic identifies Fortnite, Rocket League, and Fall Guys as exceptions to that general store-access rule, but other Epic Games Store titles must be obtained through the relevant console store to play on console. Epic explains the distinction between Epic Games Store purchases and other platforms here.
This is a title-specific distinction: having an Epic account or linking it to Xbox does not make the wider Epic Games Store catalog available on the console. For Fortnite and Fall Guys, use the Xbox/Microsoft Store installation flow above.

Link the right Epic account to carry over progress
If you played on PC or another console and want your progress on Xbox, link the Xbox account to the Epic account that holds the progress you intend to use. Start from Epic’s account-linking flow and sign in with Xbox when prompted. Epic’s Xbox sync instructions provide the account-specific steps.
Account linking has limits: an Epic account can have only one account of each platform type linked at a time, and a platform account cannot be linked to multiple Epic accounts. If Xbox reports that an account is already linked, Epic says it may be connected to another Epic account or associated with an account created after linking was skipped during the first launch. Use Epic’s recovery and linking instructions for that account rather than unlinking it casually.

Progress does not merge just because accounts are linked
For Fortnite, progress from two different Epic accounts cannot be combined. Linking Xbox to a different Epic account changes which Epic account’s Fortnite progress appears on Xbox; it does not merge the accounts’ progress. Check which Epic account holds the progress you want before changing the link. Epic’s account-linking help covers existing-link problems, and its cross-platform progress guidance explains how game progress is associated with accounts.
Rocket League progress is handled differently
Epic says Rocket League progress is saved to the external platform account, while Fortnite and Fall Guys progress is saved to the Epic Games account. For Rocket League, link the platform account containing the progress to the Epic account you use on other platforms. Epic notes that you may need to launch the game on each linked platform and reach the main menu for progress and items to sync. Unlinking the platform account that holds Rocket League progress can remove access to its content.

Can you play Epic games on Xbox Cloud Gaming?
Epic currently confirms Rocket League is available through Xbox Cloud Gaming. Check Epic’s Rocket League Cloud Gaming support page for its current status. Availability can change; the official information reviewed here does not establish region-by-region access, subscription conditions, or network requirements.
