Steam requires a STOVE third-party account and supports linking that account to Steam. If you already play Epic Seven with an email or Simple Login account, use the official account-transfer procedure before beginning on Steam. The demo is only a preview: its character data resets and will not carry into the full service.
This guide separates what you can do now from what becomes available at launch, explains the account choices, lists the published PC requirements, and gives checks to perform before you invest time or money in a save.

What is available on Steam right now?
The Steam demo is available as of October 11, 2026. Its Steam page lists an October 8, 2026 release date and provides an Install Demo button. The full Epic Seven Steam listing currently says Planned Release Date: 29 Oct, 2026 and indicates that the game is not yet available. It is listed as free to play.

That date is a planned release rather than a guarantee. Check the live Steam listing close to launch for any change in availability, regional access, system requirements, or installation controls. Do not assume that a demo installation will automatically become the full service.

The full-game listing also states: “Requires 3rd-Party Account: STOVE (Supports Linking to Steam Account).” In other words, Steam supplies the distribution and launch entry point, while your Epic Seven identity is handled through STOVE account linking.
The listing includes a publisher-provided statement of 20 million players worldwide. That is listing copy, not an independently audited player count, and it does not establish availability in every country or server region.
Before you install: choose the account route
Your safest first decision is whether you are starting fresh or bringing an existing Epic Seven account.

If you have never played Epic Seven, you can use the Steam demo to learn the controls and presentation, then create or link the required STOVE account when prompted. Treat everything created in the demo as temporary. When the full service opens, create or use the account shown by the live Steam and STOVE instructions.
Existing email-account or Simple Login players
If your current Epic Seven account uses an email login or a Simple Login (SNS) account, do not expect Steam to load that save merely because Steam is installed on the same computer. The official Steam FAQ says these accounts can be transferred to a Simple Login (Steam) account. It directs players to the official account-linking FAQ for the current procedure.
The announcement says the transfer can be made at any time and does not require a separate application window. It also says the transferred account remains usable in the STOVE PC client and the mobile version. Follow the live FAQ before starting the Steam version; its screens and labels are the authority, and a precise click path should not be guessed from older instructions.
Why the distinction matters
A Steam login and an Epic Seven save are related through the supported STOVE linking or transfer process, not through your Windows user profile. Starting a new account accidentally can leave you on the wrong identity or server. Before you spend time progressing, confirm which account and server or world the game displays after login.

Install and try the Steam demo

Open the official Epic Seven Demo page in Steam. Select Install Demo and choose the drive where you want Steam to store the game.

After installation completes, start the demo from your Steam Library. The first run may present the STOVE account requirement. Complete the sign-in or account creation flow shown by the current client, and allow the supported Steam-to-STOVE link when offered.

Let the demo finish any in-client download or update before judging performance. Keep Steam open while you launch unless the current client explicitly supports another route.

Play the included preview content and note the account and server information shown in the interface. That information is useful when checking that you later enter the intended full-service account.

Stop treating the demo as a permanent progression environment. Its character data is scheduled to reset when full service begins, so do not make irreversible account decisions or purchases on the assumption that demo progress will survive.
What the demo does—and does not—carry forward
The Steam page explicitly says demo character data will be reset and will not carry over when the full service begins. Levels, characters, equipment, event progress, and other data created in the demo should therefore be considered disposable for launch planning.
The demo is also a limited preview rather than the complete game service. The listed exclusions include Guild War and World Arena. Demo events run separately from the full service. Their schedules, rewards, and progress should not be read as promises about launch content.
- Safe use of the demo: test whether the game starts, check your display and input setup, learn the opening systems, and verify that your STOVE account can sign in.
- Unsafe assumption: believing a demo character, event reward, guild position, or competitive rating will transfer to the October service.
- Best practice: record the email or Simple Login identity you intend to use, then repeat the account check when the full game opens.
Prepare an existing account for Steam

Identify how you currently enter Epic Seven: email account or Simple Login (SNS). Do this before opening the Steam demo or full game so you know which identity must be transferred.

Open the current official account-linking FAQ and follow its instructions for transferring to Simple Login (Steam). The published announcement confirms that the transfer is available at any time; it does not describe a limited application period.

Complete the transfer while you can still access your original account. Keep the original sign-in details available until the process confirms completion.

Launch Epic Seven through Steam after the transfer. Sign in with the Steam-linked STOVE identity requested by the current client rather than creating an unrelated new account.

Check the account name or identifier and the displayed server or world before beginning gameplay. If they are not the ones you expect, stop and resolve the identity issue through the official account support or FAQ route instead of progressing on that session.

The published material confirms continued use of a transferred account in the STOVE PC client and mobile version. It does not document a universal verification screen, so rely on the identity and server information actually shown by your current build.
Install the full Steam game at launch
When the Steam listing changes from planned release to available, the installation process is straightforward:

Open the official Epic Seven full-game listing in Steam and select its install or download control. The listing identifies the game as free to play.

Choose an installation drive with at least the published free-space requirement, plus additional room for Windows, Steam, and future patches. The stated game requirement is 10 GB available storage.

Wait for Steam to complete the download and any first-run update. Do not launch an older demo shortcut expecting it to represent the full service.

Start Epic Seven from the Steam Library. Complete the STOVE sign-in and Steam-link prompts presented by the release build.

Existing players should use the transferred Simple Login (Steam) identity. New players should complete the account setup offered by the client.

Before playing through the opening sequence, verify the intended account and server or world. This is the point to stop and correct a mismatch, not after investing hours.

Release-day labels can differ from the prelaunch listing. Use the controls and account instructions displayed by the live Steam and STOVE clients rather than an old screenshot or third-party walkthrough.
Steam versus the STOVE PC client
Both routes provide PC access, but the account entry point differs. Steam is convenient if you want the game in your Steam Library and are prepared to use the supported STOVE-to-Steam link. The STOVE PC client installs directly through STOVE’s own website and launcher.

Choose based on account continuity and launcher preference, not an assumed performance advantage. The available official material does not substantiate that one client has superior graphics, frame rate, content, or server access.
Published PC requirements
The Steam listing publishes the following minimum and recommended specifications. They were posted before the planned launch, so recheck the listing when the full game is released.

These are the publisher’s listed targets, not a guarantee of a particular frame rate or resolution. They also do not establish requirements for macOS, Linux, consoles, or mobile devices. The listing specifies 64-bit Windows 10 or later for the Steam PC version.

Use this sequence only when you intentionally choose the STOVE PC client rather than Steam:

Download and install the STOVE PC Client from the official STOVE route.

Open the client through the website’s Game Start button or through the desktop icon.

Select Install Game for Epic Seven.

Accept the EULA and allow the client to finish downloading and installing the game.

When installation completes, click Play.
If you are moving an existing account, finish the official transfer to Simple Login (Steam) first when required. Do not switch launchers to bypass an account mismatch; the identity still has to be linked correctly.
Launch-day verification checklist
- Date: confirm that the live listing says the full game is available, rather than only showing the demo or a planned date.
- Storage: verify at least 10 GB of free space remains on the selected drive after Steam reserves installation space.
- Windows: use 64-bit Windows 10 or later, as specified by the listing.
- Account: sign in through the STOVE identity intended for Epic Seven; existing email or Simple Login users should have completed the transfer procedure.
- Server or world: check the displayed selection before progressing.
- Demo expectations: assume demo data is gone; it is explicitly reset and excluded from full-service carryover.
- Client choice: use either Steam or the STOVE PC client according to your preferred launcher and completed account setup, not because one is documented as having better performance.
Troubleshooting the most likely setup problems
The Steam page still says “Planned Release Date”
The full service has not been released through that listing yet, or the date may have changed. You can install the demo if it remains available, but you cannot use the demo as a substitute for launch service. Check the live listing again rather than relying on the October 29 date after publication.
Steam opens the game but the expected save is missing
Stop before creating substantial new progress. Confirm whether the original account was an email login or Simple Login account, then review the current official transfer FAQ for the Simple Login (Steam) process. A Steam installation alone does not prove that the correct Epic Seven identity was selected.
The demo character disappeared
This is expected at the service transition. The Steam demo states that character data resets and does not carry over. Demo events and excluded modes such as Guild War and World Arena do not create launch progress.
The game will not install
Check the published prerequisites first: 64-bit Windows 10 or higher, a processor at least in the listed class, 8 GB RAM minimum, a GTX 1060-or-higher graphics card for the minimum target, DirectX 11, and 10 GB available storage. If your computer meets those targets but Steam still fails, use Steam’s current installation or download error information and the official game support route; do not infer that a hardware upgrade is required without a specific error.
The account or server shown after login is wrong
Do not continue playing on that session or make purchases. Sign out, recheck the STOVE transfer or link status, and follow the current official account instructions. The reviewed pages do not describe a dedicated verification screen, so the account and server information visible in your build is the practical checkpoint.
What to expect from account continuity
The supported continuity model is specific: existing email and Simple Login accounts can be transferred to Simple Login (Steam), and the announcement says the transferred account remains usable in the STOVE PC client and mobile version. This does not mean demo characters are preserved; demo reset rules are separate from account transfer.

Bottom line
Install the free demo now if you want a preview, but keep no expectation that its characters or event progress will survive. The complete Steam release is planned for October 29, 2026, subject to the live listing. Steam requires STOVE account linking. Existing email or Simple Login players should complete the official transfer to Simple Login (Steam), then verify the account and server before starting the full game. Finally, compare your PC with the listing’s Windows 10 64-bit, 8 GB RAM minimum, GTX 1060 minimum, DirectX 11, and 10 GB storage requirements before downloading.
