- Check current eligibility and registration requirements. The official information cited here does not establish whether or how an overseas visitor can register, or what identity or age checks apply.
- Follow Tencent’s instructions for the China client. Confirm the official download source and the account required to sign in. Do not assume that a Riot account for another region works with this service.
- Ask Tencent support if the instructions do not cover your situation. In particular, get confirmation about overseas access before paying anyone or changing your existing account.

Why buying or sharing an account is a bad shortcut
Riot warns that it will identify and ban accounts that are bought, sold, or shared. Its October 6, 2025 account-linking announcement says enforcement for these cases rolled out with patch 25.18; the Account Penalties and Enforcement FAQ provides the related penalty guidance. A seller’s claim that an account is ready for China does not establish that you are eligible to use it or that it will remain accessible.

Meeting a game’s operating-system and graphics requirements does not provide China-server access or determine account eligibility. Riot’s Patch 25.21 notes specify DirectX 11 feature level 11_0 for Windows and Metal for Mac, and direct players to its support page for full system requirements. Check the full requirements for your computer, then confirm client-specific instructions through Tencent’s official China channels.
