Its creator lists browser (HTML5) and Windows versions, not native PlayStation, Xbox, or Nintendo Switch releases. The documented way to try it is on a computer browser; console-browser compatibility is not established.
How to play Lee Carvallo’s Putting Challenge
- Open Aaron Demeter’s Lee Carvallo’s Putting Challenge page on itch.io. The listing is marked released and offers “Play in browser” for its HTML5 version.
- Use the browser version’s on-screen prompts. The creator lists a mouse, arrow keys, or numpad for menu navigation. The page describes number input, power settings, and the parking-lot outcome, but does not publish a complete control map for every swing action.
- Alternatively, the page lists a Windows setup-file download. It does not list a console build. The creator’s development log is dated June 14, 2020; platform availability can change.
If you want to try it on a console, you would need that particular device to have a compatible browser and for the game to work in it. The creator’s listing does not establish either point, so a computer browser is the supported route documented there.

Is Lee Carvallo’s Putting Challenge a real game?
Not as an official Simpsons release. Lee Carvallo’s Putting Challenge is the fictional game in the episode “Marge Be Not Proud.” Aaron Demeter’s browser game is a fan recreation of that fictional title, rather than a native modern-console port.
In the episode, Bart wants Bonestorm but receives the more sedate putting game. The Simpsons Wiki entry reproduces Lee Carvallo’s instructions: “Welcome to Lee Carvallo’s Putting Challenge. I am Carvallo. Now, choose a club. (Beep) You have chosen a three wood. May I suggest a putter? (Beep) Three wood. Now enter the force of your swing. I suggest feather touch. (Beep, beep, beep) You have entered “power drive”. Now, push seven eight seven to swing.” The resulting shot ends with “Ball is in…parking lot.” Those lines are spoken by the fictional Carvallo, not a real golfer.
#1 Best Overall
- Action-comedy with hilarious, sprawling, and mind-busting storyline crafted by TV show's Emmy Award-winning writers
- Full cast of voice actors from the TV show and movie lend to the ultimate authenticity and realism of the game
- Play as all members of your favorite dysfunctional TV family as you battle to save them from video-game purgatory
- Homer, Marge, Bart, and Lisa use exciting, all-new powers to save the world from rising chaos
- Journey through all of Springfield, vanquish an array of villains, and fight through parodies of multiple popular games
What game was it based on?
The Simpsons Wiki says the fictional game appears to be based on Lee Trevino’s Fighting Golf, a real NES-era game released in 1988. It is a separate game, not the Simpsons parody or the fan recreation. An NES cartridge is therefore relevant only if you are interested in the reported inspiration or retro collecting; it will not install the fan game on a current console.

How the parody, inspiration, and modern-console alternative differ
| Title | What it is | Platform or status | How it relates to the parody |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lee Carvallo’s Putting Challenge | Fictional game in “Marge Be Not Proud”; also the subject of a fan recreation. | The fan recreation is listed for browser (HTML5) and Windows by its creator; no native modern-console version is listed. | The closest playable match to the Simpsons joke. |
| Lee Trevino’s Fighting Golf | Real 1988 NES golf game, reported by the Simpsons Wiki as the apparent inspiration. | Legacy NES game; a modern-console release is not established by the cited listing. | A reported influence, not the parody or fan recreation. |
| The Golf | A separate golf game. | Nintendo lists it for Switch and indicates Switch 2 support; the listing gives a February 14, 2019 release date. | A current-console golf alternative, not a way to play Lee Carvallo’s parody. |
