That 72-hour test has ended. The full game is now available on PS5 and PC, including Steam and Epic Games Store, so you can play the released version through an official platform instead. The game’s official FAQ lists current platform availability.
How the early-play beta worked
Sony’s Open Beta ran from July 24, 2026 at 12:00 a.m. PT (8:00 a.m. BST / 4:00 p.m. JST) through July 26 at 11:59 p.m. PT (July 27 at 7:59 a.m. BST / 3:59 p.m. JST). It was available on PS5, Steam, and Epic Games Store. Sony’s beta announcement gave the schedule and access details.

During that window, players could download the beta from their platform’s store without registering in advance. An internet connection and a PlayStation account were required on both PS5 and PC; PlayStation Plus was not required for the beta. Those were requirements for the beta, not a way to access it after its end date.
What the beta included
The test offered 15 of the 20 characters planned for launch, six stages, casual and ranked online matches, local Versus, an open lobby, Training Mode, and the first three chapters of Amazing Guardians Episode Mode. The beta client and its content should be treated as historical: Sony’s announced dates have passed.

How to play the full game now
Get the released game on PS5 or PC. On PC, the official FAQ lists Steam and Epic Games Store. Sony announced August 6, 2026 as the main launch date, with August 7 local launch timing for New Zealand, Australia, Japan, and Korea. The official FAQ says online servers went live August 6 at 3:00 p.m. UTC. Check the FAQ for platform and access information; store listings are the place to confirm current availability in your region.
- Choose PS5, Steam, or Epic Games Store based on the platform you use.
- Find MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls in that platform’s official store and install the released game.
- For offline modes, launch the game without starting an online match. For online modes, meet the platform-specific requirements below.
The beta was the confirmed early-play route; there is no still-open beta window established by the official schedule. Avoid relying on old beta download instructions as a current access method.

Account, subscription, and offline requirements
Requirements differ between offline play and online matchmaking, and between PS5 and PC. The game’s official FAQ describes the split as follows:
