You can play Minecraft Classic in a browser by opening Minecraft’s official Play Minecraft Classic link. It is the 2009 version—not the full modern game—and Minecraft describes it as having 32 blocks and the original bugs.

What to expect from the Classic version
Minecraft Classic is the 2009 experience, not a browser route to the current full game. Minecraft’s 2019 announcement describes it as having 32 blocks and the original bugs; the anniversary page repeats those details. That makes it a limited, nostalgic version rather than a feature-equivalent substitute for modern Minecraft.
Which computers can play it?
Minecraft Help lists Windows, Mac, and Linux for Minecraft Classic through classic.minecraft.net. It does not specify browser versions or publish a compatibility matrix, so the listed operating systems should not be read as a guarantee for every browser or device configuration.

| W, A, S, D | Move |
| Space | Jump |
