S-GAME currently lists Phantom Blade Zero for 29 October 2026. PlayStation’s August 2026 announcement notes that the date is 28 October in the US and select regions, while Steam lists 28 October 2026. The release was previously scheduled for 9 September 2026. In a letter dated 2 June, S-GAME CEO and creator Soulframe said the additional time would go toward specific improvements, including updated character models and reworked environments. He wrote: “A 50-day delay cannot solve everything. But it does give us enough time to complete a number of clearly defined and genuinely important improvements.” That is the developer’s explanation for the change, not an independent assessment of the finished game.

What platforms can you play Phantom Blade Zero on?
The official listings covered here confirm PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam. They do not confirm a release date for Xbox or another console, so there is no basis here to say whether an additional version will arrive later.

What kind of game is Phantom Blade Zero?
Story and setting
PlayStation describes the game as a dark wuxia action RPG. You play Soul, a swordsman with 66 days left to live who has been framed for killing his master. As he is hunted, he investigates a conspiracy in the Wulin, a martial world of conflict and intrigue.
S-GAME says exploration can reveal secrets, while side quests and encounters with citizens can open story paths. The game is made with Unreal Engine 5, and the developer describes its blend of wuxia, fantasy and horror as “kungfupunk.” Those terms describe the studio’s intended setting and style, not a measured performance or independent quality verdict.

Expect action centered on a broad arsenal of weapons and secondary arms. In its 17 August 2026 PlayStation Blog deep dive, S-GAME said players can unlock more than 30 main weapons and 25 Phantom Edges, upgrade weapons and reforge them to reclaim materials. These are the developer’s announced figures; they are not independent counts. PlayStation’s game page gives a different Phantom Edge figure, so the safer overall expectation is dozens of weapons and secondary arms.
S-GAME describes three difficulty options:
- Wayfarer: Intended for players who mainly want to focus on the story.
- Hellwalker: A tougher option with more advanced and adaptive enemy intelligence.
- Sixty-Six Days: The severe-challenge option.

The store lists pre-order early unlocks for the Treasure Basin accessory and Legacy appearance, and says both items can also be earned through in-game progression.
On PS5, PlayStation lists DualSense adaptive triggers and haptic feedback, along with Tempest 3D AudioTech. It also lists manual saving and the ability to pause during gameplay or cinematics while offline. These are published feature claims, not independent tests. The DualSense is supported, but the listing does not say it is required or included with the game.
