You can play many Roblox experiences without a mouse: use the keyboard shortcuts shown in that experience’s in-game Help menu, and try Follow camera mode if you need less manual camera control. You can also use touchscreen controls on mobile. Roblox documents controller maps for PlayStation and Xbox, but those console instructions do not establish PC controller compatibility.
Use the experience’s keyboard controls
- Join the Roblox experience you want to play.
- Open the in-experience menu and select Help. Roblox Support says Help includes keyboard shortcuts, mouse instructions, and mobile gestures: Roblox’s in-experience Help guide.
- Use the shortcuts listed there. Controls and mechanics can vary between experiences, so don’t assume one keyboard layout works everywhere.
Make camera movement easier
If moving the camera is the main difficulty, open Settings and check the camera mode. Roblox documents Classic and Follow modes when the experience developer has not locked the setting. In Follow mode, the camera rotates with your avatar as it moves right or left. Follow may reduce the need for manual camera adjustment, but it is not available when the developer has locked the camera mode. Details are in Roblox’s in-experience Help guide.
Can you use a controller instead?
Roblox provides controller maps for console play. On PlayStation, open the Roblox menu and select the Help tab to view the map; Xbox instructions likewise point players to the controller map in Help. Consult the guide for your platform: Roblox on PlayStation and Roblox on Xbox.
These instructions concern PlayStation and Xbox. They do not confirm that a controller will work on PC, or that every Roblox experience supports the same controller inputs. Check the specific experience’s Help menu and your platform’s map before relying on a controller.

Use touchscreen controls on mobile
Roblox’s in-experience Help documentation also includes mobile gestures. If you’re playing on a touchscreen device, check Help for the gestures available in that experience. Touch controls are another way to play without a mouse, but the documentation does not guarantee identical touchscreen support in every experience.
