Running levels use freer movement, so battle lane tactics do not apply there.
How do I play Sonic Blitz?
The Google Play listing’s version 2.0 notes describe a loop that alternates card battles with running levels. The listed characters are Sonic, Amy, Big and Mighty. Character-specific Ability Cards use Energy, which regenerates during battle. For exact availability and the current version, check your own store listing; the Android listing is not proof of iOS or region-wide availability.
How to play a card battle
- Read each card’s values. Attack determines damage when Dash activates. Health indicates how much damage a card can withstand. Energy is the cost to play it.
- Watch for ability triggers. Abilities can activate when a card is revealed, when Dash is activated, or at the end of a turn. Check the card text and time your plays accordingly.
- Pick a lane and Dash. Rovio describes dashing as the core mechanic. A Dash makes cards attack; in the documented battle rules, it generally targets one lane at a time. If both players Dash in the same lane, cards in corresponding positions fight.
- Focus on the Force Field. The official help index identifies reducing the opponent’s Force Field to zero before they reduce yours as the main win condition. It also references an alternate damage-based condition, but its details are not established here; consult the in-game help if it appears in your match.
How running levels differ
In running levels, you can move Sonic without lane constraints. Treat these sections separately from card battles: lane selection and Dash tactics describe battles, not the running levels.
Get and upgrade cards
Rovio’s support says cards come from Booster Packs. You can upgrade cards from one to six stars using Gold and Star Coins. Upgrades increase stats and can sometimes improve an ability. The game’s support index also lists missions, a Ring Journey progression track, a Blitz Pass, currencies and card collections; check the game’s current menus for available rewards and costs, which may change with updates.

Check access, purchases and device compatibility
The Google Play listing describes Sonic Blitz as free to download and play, with optional in-app purchases. It also says the game may include loot boxes or other random-reward mechanics, and that in-app purchases can be disabled in device settings. These disclosures are from the surfaced Android listing; check your local store page and in-game disclosures for current details.
To check whether you can install it, search for Sonic Blitz directly in the App Store or Google Play using the account and device you plan to play with. Confirm that the listing appears, supports your device, and shows a current update. Current iOS availability and a definitive country list are not established here. Avoid relying on unofficial APK or store-region workarounds: their safety, support and current applicability are not established.
