To show a simple FPS counter in Counter-Strike 2, enable the developer console, open it, and enter cl_showfps 1. For frame-time/FPS telemetry or network information, use CS2’s HUD telemetry options; the old CS:GO net_graph 1 command is not verified as a CS2 solution.
Show a simple FPS counter with the console
- From CS2’s main menu, open Settings and select Game.
- Set Enable Developer Console (~) to Yes. This is the menu path documented by Steam Support.
- Open the console using your configured console key. Steam Support identifies
~for English/US keyboard configurations; other keyboard layouts may use a different key. - Type
cl_showfps 1and press Enter to display the simple FPS readout. - To hide it, open the console again, enter
cl_showfps 0, and press Enter.
The cl_showfps instructions come from third-party command references rather than an official Valve command reference, so command behavior can change with game updates.
Use HUD telemetry for frame time, ping, or network quality
CS2’s telemetry controls let you choose which information appears instead of relying on an FPS-only counter. You can configure these through the in-game HUD telemetry settings or use the documented console variables. A Steam Community command reference describes the frame-time display values as follows:

For example, enter cl_hud_telemetry_frametime_show 2 in the console for an always-on frame-time/FPS display. The telemetry value descriptions are documented in a Steam Community guide, not a standalone official Valve command reference.

Choose network metrics separately
Frame rate does not tell you whether you have high ping or network delivery problems. Use the separate HUD telemetry options for ping and network quality. The same Steam Community guide describes cl_hud_telemetry_net_quality_graph_show as 0 for never, 1 for only when conditions are poor, and 2 for always.
What happened to the CS:GO net graph command?
Do not assume that net_graph 1, familiar from CS:GO, is the right command in CS2. The cited Steam Support instructions do not document it as a CS2 command. Current third-party guides also disagree about whether cq_netgraph 1 works, and there is no official confirmation in the cited sources. For network information, the in-game telemetry settings are the better-grounded option.
