How the Squid Game Event Pass worked
During the event, XP earned in Multiplayer, Zombies, or Warzone advanced the Squid Game Event Pass. Activision offered a free track and a Premium track priced at 1,100 COD Points. That figure is in COD Points, not a stated cash price.

How the event modes differed
The event used different rules in Multiplayer, Zombies, and Warzone. The modes shared Squid Game themes, but not a single common objective or penalty.

Multiplayer: Red Light, Green Light
At Red Card Stadium, each match consisted of three two-minute rounds. The basic rule was to move during Green Light and stop when Young-hee called Red Light. Activision summed up the prompt this way: “When Young-hee says ‘Green Light,’ the fight is on.” — Call of Duty Staff, Activision, January 2, 2025.

Round-by-round weapon rules
- Round 1: No weapons; focus on moving during Green Light and stopping on Red Light.
- Rounds 2 and 3: Pick up weapons and use melee attacks or Finishing Moves to eliminate competitors.
Multiplayer: Pentathlon and Squid Game Moshpit
Pentathlon
Pentathlon cycled through five familiar and event-specific modes: Domination, Kill Confirmed, Hardpoint, Piggy Bank Team Deathmatch, and Roulette. In Piggy Bank Team Deathmatch, eliminations added score to a Mega Piggy Bank, which players then contested when it dropped. Roulette revolved around the Roulette Handgun: a one-shot elimination could earn extra score, but firing also carried the risk that the gun would explode. The official announcement notes that a match could end in a draw.
Squid Game Moshpit
The Moshpit added event mechanics to Team Deathmatch, Domination, and Hardpoint. Its Red Light, Green Light Scorestreak called Red Light and made enemy Operators stop moving or risk elimination. Piggy Banks dropped for score, while eliminations built up the Mega Piggy Bank. The Roulette Handgun combined powerful one-shot potential with a UAV effect, but revealed its holder’s location and could explode when fired.

Zombies: Dead Light, Green Light
Dead Light, Green Light was available on Citadelle des Morts first; Liberty Falls was added after Week 1. Use the changing phases to manage Essence: Green Light increased Essence earnings, movement during Red Light drained Essence, and Dead Light introduced a tougher wave. Activision’s patch notes document the Liberty Falls addition after the mode’s initial arrival on Citadelle des Morts.
Warzone: squad challenges on Urzikstan
In Warzone, squads faced a rotating set of challenges on Urzikstan. At the end of each round, underperforming squads were eliminated. Red Light, Green Light could be one of the challenges, but Activision’s event announcement does not enumerate the full rotation. This was a squad challenge format, not the same three-round, two-minute setup used by Multiplayer’s Red Light, Green Light.

Is the event playable now?
The confirmed event window ended January 24, 2025, at 10 a.m. PT. The official announcement and schedule establish that original window but do not confirm any later reactivation. Check the current in-game playlist or official Call of Duty announcements for a return; owning or buying Black Ops 6 by itself does not establish that the limited-time event is available.
