You can play two God of War games as native PC releases: God of War (2018) and God of War Ragnarök. Sony lists both on Steam and the Epic Games Store. The older entries do not have native Windows releases listed on Sony’s current series page; PlayStation Plus Premium may let you stream selected titles on PC, but it does not guarantee access to every game. Sony’s series page and the live catalog are the places to check for current availability.
Which God of War games can you play natively on PC?
Sony lists these two official PC releases, each available through Steam and the Epic Games Store:
- God of War (2018), originally released on PS4.
- God of War Ragnarök (2022), originally released on PS4 and PS5.
The other released main entries are associated with PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, or PSP on Sony’s series page, rather than listed as native Windows games. That platform history does not rule out later remasters, compilations, or subscription access on PlayStation; it means Sony does not list those older entries as PC releases. What are the PC requirements?
The two PC versions have different minimum targets and storage needs. Sony’s listed specifications are below; check each live support page before buying because requirements and support details can change.

For God of War (2018), Sony also lists a recommended target of 1080p at 30 fps on Original settings: GTX 1060 (6 GB) or RX 570 (4 GB), Intel i5-6600K or Ryzen 5 2400G, 8 GB RAM, Windows 10 64-bit version 1809, and a 70 GB SSD. Details are on Sony’s PC specifications page.
Sony’s Ragnarök PC support page lists the minimum specifications above. Its storage requirement is substantially larger, so confirm you have enough SSD space before installation.

Can you stream older God of War games to a PC?
PlayStation Plus Premium supports PC streaming for PS4 games in the Games Catalog and selected Classics Catalog titles through the PlayStation Plus PC app. This is a subscription option, not a native PC purchase, and Sony’s service pages do not establish that every older God of War game is currently streamable to PC.
Availability depends on the current catalog and region. Check the specific game in the live catalog before subscribing or relying on streaming; catalog titles can leave the service, and Sony notes that some catalog games may not be available to stream. Sony lists an active Premium subscription, PlayStation Network account with payment details, a compatible controller, broadband (5 Mbps recommended), and an adult account among its PC streaming requirements. Consult PlayStation Plus information and Sony’s PC streaming support details for current requirements and catalog terms.

How to choose a PC route

If the title you want is not one of the two PC releases and does not appear as streamable in your regional catalog, Sony’s reviewed pages do not offer another official PC route for it.
What about the newest and upcoming entries?
Sony lists God of War Sons of Sparta for PS5, released February 12, 2026, and describes it as a Greek-era prequel and side-scrolling action platformer. Sony lists God of War Laufey for PS5 on February 16, 2027; it is upcoming as of October 8, 2026. Neither is listed as a PC release on Sony’s current series page. Check that page for platform updates.

Do you need a PlayStation controller?
No. Sony says PlayStation Studios games on PC support mouse and keyboard as well as other game controllers. A PlayStation controller is optional; input features can vary by title. Sony’s PC controller support page has further details.
