Yes, Super Mario Bros. Wonder can be run on a PC through a community Nintendo Switch emulator, but it is not an officially supported PC game. The route depends on a compatible Nintendo Switch and game and system files you are legally entitled to use. Emulator setup and performance vary, and no reproducible Wonder-specific PC benchmark establishes how well it will run on a particular computer.
What you need to know before trying it
Nintendo lists Super Mario Bros. Wonder as a Nintendo Switch game, released October 20, 2023. Its product page lists a 3.7 GB file size and TV, tabletop, and handheld play modes. Nintendo does not list a PC version.
Ryubing describes itself as a fork of the discontinued Ryujinx emulator. Its documentation lists 8 GiB of RAM as a baseline for running the emulator—not as a recommended specification or performance guarantee for Wonder. The project also describes support for graphics APIs and operating systems in its documentation; check the current requirements there before installing, since a PC’s operating system, graphics support, and available memory all matter.
- A compatible Nintendo Switch from which you can obtain the required files.
- A legally obtained copy of Wonder and the game and system files required by the emulator.
- A PC that meets the emulator’s current requirements. Meeting the 8 GiB RAM baseline alone does not establish that Wonder will run well.
- Time to configure the emulator and troubleshoot. The sources do not establish a universal PC setup or reliable frame rate for the game.
How the PC route works
The broad process is to install a current emulator build, provide the game and system files that you are entitled to use, and configure graphics and controls. Ryubing’s documentation and FAQ are the authoritative places to check current installation and setup details; specific UI labels and steps can change between builds.

#1 Best Overall
- The next evolution of Nintendo Switch
- One system, three play modes: TV, Tabletop, and Handheld
- Larger, vivid, 7.9” LCD touch screen with support for HDR and up to 120 fps
- Dock that supports 4K when connected to a compatible TV*
- GameChat** lets you voice chat, share your game screen, and connect via video chat as you play
- Check your PC against Ryubing’s current requirements. Review the project’s documentation for supported operating systems, graphics APIs, and baseline resources. Treat 8 GiB RAM as the project’s emulator baseline, not a Wonder-specific target.
- Get the emulator from the project’s official channels. Follow the current installation instructions in its documentation. Avoid download pages that bundle unofficial builds or unrelated files.
- Use only files you are legally entitled to use. Ryubing says commercial-game use requires a compatible Switch and a legally purchased game, with the game and system files dumped from that console. Its FAQ does not support piracy. Do not download unauthorized game copies, firmware, or encryption keys.
- Configure the game, controls, and graphics using the current documentation. Do not assume a setting or a configuration guide for a different emulator build applies to the version you installed.
- Test the game and troubleshoot only the symptom you encounter. For an out-of-device-memory crash, Ryubing’s FAQ specifically suggests texture recompression. It is project troubleshooting guidance, not a guaranteed fix for every PC or cause of a crash.
Legal and policy limits
Emulation and the files used with an emulator raise legal questions that can depend on jurisdiction and the particular circumstances. The available project guidance describes use with a legally purchased game and files dumped from a compatible Switch; it does not determine whether every personal dump or emulator configuration is lawful where you live.
Nintendo’s anti-piracy FAQ states the company’s own position on intellectual property, piracy, and emulators. That is Nintendo’s policy, not a universal legal ruling. Avoid unauthorized copies and unauthorized sources for firmware or keys, and consult local law if you need a jurisdiction-specific answer.

What to expect from performance and memory
No controlled comparison in the cited documentation establishes Wonder’s frame rate, resolution, or performance across CPUs and GPUs. A PC that meets Ryubing’s stated RAM baseline may still have graphics-memory or compatibility problems; the baseline is not evidence that the game will run smoothly.
If the game reports an out-of-device-memory error, Ryubing’s troubleshooting guidance says Wonder may need texture recompression. Texture handling can consume substantial graphics memory, but the FAQ does not provide a universal performance result or guarantee that this change will resolve every memory issue. For other errors, consult the current project documentation rather than assuming the same remedy applies.

Online play and multiplayer are not guaranteed in an emulator
Nintendo lists Wonder as supporting one to four players on one system and online play for one to four players. For the official Nintendo online experience, Nintendo requires internet access, a Nintendo Account, and a Nintendo Switch Online membership; its support page also says an update is required for internet features. These requirements describe Nintendo-supported play; they do not establish that Nintendo’s online services work in an emulator. Nintendo notes that additional accessories may be needed for multiplayer.
Nintendo’s US support page reported an update available April 15, 2026. Nintendo Support Japan’s update history lists version 1.2.1 dated April 16, 2026. The exact update available to you may depend on region; use Nintendo’s support information for the official Switch release rather than treating emulator online access as confirmed.

How compatibility reports should be read
Ryubing’s compatibility tracker sets rules for submissions, including using official builds and not using hacks, mods, or cheats. A report under those conditions can be useful, but it is not a guarantee for another computer, emulator build, or configuration. The cited information does not establish a current, reproducible Wonder verdict for a particular PC.
When the official Switch version is the better option
If you want the clearest supported way to play, Nintendo’s listed platform is the Switch. It avoids emulator setup and the uncertainty around PC hardware, compatibility, and access to Nintendo online features. The emulator route is a community project, requires files from a compatible console under the project’s stated conditions, and has no established Wonder performance guarantee.
