To start the hidden 15 Puzzle in Final Fantasy I Pixel Remaster, board the ship and enter a platform-specific button or touch sequence. Then slide tiles 1–15 into order on the 4-by-4 board. A guide updated December 11, 2025, reports that completing the puzzle in Pixel Remaster gives no reward.
How to open the 15 Puzzle
Be aboard the ship before entering the sequence. The inputs below are reported by a game-specific guide updated December 11, 2025; Square Enix’s Pixel Remaster series page establishes the edition context but does not document these minigame inputs.

The puzzle is a 4-by-4 grid with tiles numbered 1 through 15 and one empty space. Slide tiles into the empty space until the numbers are in order.

The guide reports that the Pixel Remaster version has no completion reward. Do not expect Gil or an item for solving this edition’s puzzle. The guide contrasts it with the original game, so its reward information should not be assumed to apply to every older port. [c001]
