How to install Cyberpunk VR Port

- Launch the game once before adding the mod. The listing calls for a first run of Cyberpunk 2077 before installing the port.

In particular, do not assume that VR means fully implemented motion-controller aiming. A separate GitHub-hosted project, Cyberpunk2077-VR-OpenSource, says its controller inputs map to XInput/gamepad actions and that motion-controller aiming is not implemented. Its README also describes its camera patterns as estimates that may need adjustment for the game version. These are that project’s stated limitations, not a description of the Nexus mod.

What to expect from the experience
Cyberpunk VR Port is a community project, not an officially supported VR release. Its listing says storyline support has improved but remains experimental, and that the full storyline has not been validated end to end. That means the mod may be worth trying if you are comfortable with manual installation and troubleshooting, but you should not count on a complete, trouble-free playthrough.

For crashes or rendering problems, the project’s listing recommends disabling conflicting overlays or injection tools during diagnosis. For mod-specific help, consult the creator or project community. CD PROJEKT RED’s modding support says the company does not create or maintain mods for its games and does not take responsibility for how community mods function.

No. REDmod is CD PROJEKT RED’s general modding support, not a VR conversion. The official documentation describes REDmod as free DLC for loading compatible mods through supported launchers; it also says existing archive-based mods remain supported. For Cyberpunk VR Port, follow that project’s own dependency and installation instructions rather than assuming REDmod installs or enables the VR features.
