You can play The Last of Us Part I and The Last of Us Part II Remastered on PS5 or PC. For PC, both are sold through Steam and the Epic Games Store. PlayStation’s US product pages also list cloud streaming on PS5 and PlayStation Portal with PlayStation Plus Premium, and catalog access through Extra; availability depends on your region and the current catalog.

What each edition includes
Part I
The PS5 remake’s Standard Edition includes the full single-player story and the prequel chapter Left Behind. The PC release also includes the campaign and Left Behind, alongside Speedrun Mode, Permadeath Mode, Photo Mode, and accessibility options. The PS5 remake is a separate release from the older PS3 and PS4 versions, with no upgrade path from those games.

Part II Remastered
On both PS5 and PC, look for The Last of Us Part II Remastered. Alongside the campaign, it includes the roguelike survival mode No Return, Lost Levels with developer commentary, and Guitar Free Play. Chronological mode was added to the PS5 and PC versions in a July 2025 update. Naughty Dog’s update announcement describes the addition.
How to decide which route fits
- Already have a gaming PC? Buy the PC edition from Steam or the Epic Games Store. For Part II, make sure the listing says Remastered.
- Prefer playing on a console? Choose the PS5 edition of the game you want. Part I is the remake; Part II is Remastered.
- Want to use a subscription? Check your local PlayStation Plus catalog before subscribing or expecting access. Extra catalog listings can change and vary by region.
- Want to stream on PlayStation hardware? The US product pages specify PS5 and PlayStation Portal cloud streaming with Premium. Check that the game, device, and service are currently supported in your country.
The PlayStation pages do not establish that either PC edition is available through a third-party PC cloud-gaming service, so do not assume PC streaming is supported without checking that service’s own game catalog.
