Play Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order first, then Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. That’s both the release order and the story order for the two released games following Cal Kestis. Survivor is a sequel set five years after Fallen Order.
Star Wars Jedi games in release and story order
| Order | Game | Release date | Story context |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order | November 15, 2019 | Cal Kestis, a Jedi Padawan who survived Order 66, faces the Empire after the events of Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. Electronic Arts describes the game as a single-player adventure. |
| 2 | Star Wars Jedi: Survivor | April 28, 2023 | Continues Cal’s story five years after Fallen Order. EA describes it as the next chapter. |
Do you need to play Fallen Order before Survivor?
No. EA says each game can stand alone: “You don’t need to have played the previous game to play Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, as each game can stand alone.” But if you want Cal’s character arc in sequence and the context of the earlier adventure, begin with Fallen Order. EA’s Survivor FAQ also confirms that progress from Fallen Order does not transfer to Survivor.
