If you mean the upcoming Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen, scheduled for October 9, 2026, no verified preload start time is available for PC, PS5, or Xbox Series X|S. Check the download queue or storefront on your own platform; the release time is not a preload time.
Can you preload the original Dragon’s Dogma 2 now?
No. The original game’s preload was a launch-period event in March 2024, not an option that remains available for a new download. Capcom announced the game for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, with release on March 22, 2024 (Capcom’s release announcement).
At the time, VideoGamer reported that Xbox preloading was live and that PS5 preloading was expected from March 20 at local midnight. Its guide predicted a March 20 Steam preload, but did not establish that a PC preload actually became available. Those are historical reports, not current instructions or a schedule to use for another release (VideoGamer, March 19, 2024).
What about Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen?
Dark Arisen is a paid expansion with a new story, not a new name for the original 2024 game. Capcom describes it as a paid expansion for Dragon’s Dogma 2 (Capcom, June 10, 2026). It is scheduled for October 9, 2026, on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S, according to Capcom’s announcement (Capcom release announcement).

Is Dark Arisen a separate purchase or a bundle?
The expansion is offered separately, and a bundle includes both the original game and Dark Arisen. The bundle is intended for new players who need the base game as well as the expansion; existing owners should check the storefront listing for the standalone expansion option. On PlayStation, the bundle listing states that its base game can be played immediately and the expansion unlocks on October 9 (Capcom USA on PlayStation Blog).

There is no established current download size for Dark Arisen in the cited listings. For the original game, VideoGamer reported launch-era preload downloads of 69.94 GB on Xbox Series X|S and 64.391 GB for PS5 version 1.02, citing Xbox community screenshot evidence and PlayStationSize, respectively. These were secondary reports, not official Capcom specifications, and should not be used to plan current storage for the original game or the expansion (VideoGamer, 2024).
