Ubisoft has announced that Rainbow Six Mobile online services will end on January 15, 2027. The Rainbow Six Mobile Dev Team states: “The game will remain playable until January 15, 2027.” The announcement also says the team will provide additional transition details in the following weeks.
The game launched worldwide as a free iOS and Android title on February 23, 2026, after 15 seasons since its 2023 soft launch. Those dates describe the game’s history; they do not create a transfer entitlement. The shutdown notice does not promise that Mobile progression will become usable in Siege or another title.
Ubisoft’s Help Center says the decision was made “to align our resources with our long-term strategic priorities.” That is the stated rationale. It does not establish that a particular player-count threshold caused the closure.

1. Link the game to the Ubisoft account you actually intend to keep
Rainbow Six Mobile can be played as a guest or connected to a Ubisoft account from the game’s settings menu. If you are still playing as a guest, open Settings and look for the account or Ubisoft Connect option, then complete the sign-in or linking flow. Use an account whose email address and recovery methods you control.
Before confirming, check the account identity carefully. A second Ubisoft account can look like a failed sync when it is actually the wrong destination. If the game displays an account name or email during linking, compare it with the account you use elsewhere. 3. Keep the linked Ubisoft account accessible
Use a current email address, a password you can retrieve, and any available account-security options. Save recovery information somewhere safe. The goal is to preserve access to the account association while Ubisoft publishes its transition plan.
Do not unlink the Mobile profile or close the Ubisoft account on the assumption that closure will preserve your progress. Ubisoft’s privacy policy says closing an account removes access to games and game progression. Account closure is therefore the opposite of a backup strategy.
If you have multiple Ubisoft accounts, write down which one is linked to Rainbow Six Mobile and keep the accounts separate until Ubisoft explains any transition process. Moving purchases or changing account ownership on your own can make support verification harder and is not an announced migration method.
4. Keep personal records without treating them as a refund claim
You may wish to record your in-game name, account identifier, platform, approximate creation date, and purchase receipts for your own records. The timing and substance of that update are not yet specified, so an old social-media post or a community rumor cannot establish a transfer option.
The Help Center’s published questions include “Can I keep playing?”, “Are the next seasons still coming?”, and “Are you planning a refund strategy for last season’s content?” The current information says the game remains playable through January 15, 2027, future seasons were still planned in the referenced FAQ, and a refund strategy had not been announced. Those answers can change when Ubisoft publishes the promised transition details.
6. Request personal data only if you need a record of your information
Ubisoft’s privacy policy allows players to request an extract of personal data and says data may be used or transferred to another provider where applicable. That right is a privacy-data process, not a game migration service.

A data extract may contain information associated with your account, but Ubisoft does not say that it includes a loadable Mobile save, inventory package, or progression file. There is no confirmed procedure for importing such an extract into Siege or running Rainbow Six Mobile offline. Request the extract for access, privacy, or record-keeping reasons—not as a promised way to preserve playable progress.
What account linking actually preserves

- Do not repeatedly unlink and relink accounts while guessing which email is correct. Record the account shown and ask support if the ownership is unclear.
- Do not start a new guest profile on a second phone and assume it will merge with the original one.
- Do not purchase a Siege copy, a new phone, or extra storage as a supposed transfer solution. Ubisoft has not identified any hardware or purchase that moves Mobile progression.
- Do not treat screenshots, receipts, or a privacy-data extract as an importable save or an automatic refund request.

The account links successfully but Siege does not show Mobile items
This is expected under Ubisoft’s stated platform rules. Mobile progression and Siege progression are separate. Reinstalling Siege, changing console settings, or requesting a Mobile data extract will not create a confirmed cross-game import.

- Whether Ubisoft will offer any migration, compensation, or transition program.
- Whether players will receive a downloadable archive or another form of export.
- Whether any Mobile purchases will qualify for refunds or credits.

How to read the next Ubisoft update
When Ubisoft publishes its promised transition information, look for concrete language about eligibility, dates, account actions, and the destination of any compensation. A statement that data remains associated with Ubisoft Connect is not automatically a statement that players can download or import their progress. Likewise, a refund announcement may cover only specified purchases or time periods and would not necessarily create cross-progression with Siege.
Check whether the notice comes from an official Rainbow Six Mobile or Ubisoft Support channel and whether it links to a full Help Center explanation. Save the publication date and the exact instructions. If the update changes the account-linking process, follow the new instructions rather than relying on an older screenshot or community guide. Until those details appear, the only confirmed continuity option remains syncing the same Mobile profile across Android and iOS.
