Complete The Hex quest, earn Hex standing through Höllvania bounties or Lettie’s turn-ins, and rank up with Arthur Nightingale in the Höllvania Central Mall. To reach Rank 4, you must also be Liked by all six Protoframes; romance is optional.
Unlock The Hex and Höllvania
Before you can progress The Hex Syndicate, complete the main quests The Lotus Eaters and The Duviri Paradox, then finish The Hex. The quest unlocks Höllvania, its missions and bounties, and the Syndicate in the Central Mall. Digital Extremes lists these prerequisites and unlocks in its Update 38 PC notes.

Earn Hex standing
There are two documented ways to build Hex standing: complete Höllvania bounties, or collect eligible items and exchange them with Lettie. The official sources do not establish which route is numerically faster, so choose based on whether you prefer missions or exploration.

Complete Höllvania bounties
Successful completion of a Hex bounty awards standing. Check the currently posted bounty board for available missions. The Update 38 notes also document a Steel Path toggle that applies Steel Path modifiers and awards bonus standing from the posted bounties; use it only if you can handle that difficulty.

Turn in Treasures and Medallions
Hex Treasures found in Höllvania can be exchanged with Lettie for standing. Digital Extremes’ pre-launch overview also names Syndicate Medallions as a Lettie turn-in, while the post-launch Update 38 notes describe Hex Treasures. Raise Protoframe chemistry for Rank 4
Hex standing and Protoframe chemistry are separate progress tracks. Rank 4 requires you to reach Liked chemistry with all six Protoframes. Romance is not required: Digital Extremes states that romance is optional and that all Protoframes must be Liked to unlock Rank 4.

Start by completing each Protoframe’s introductory KIM conversation. You can raise chemistry through chats, gifts, and bounties. Chemistry earned while its syndicate-rank gate is blocked can still accrue and may advance once you meet the gate; a blocked indicator does not necessarily mean the progress was lost. These rules are documented in the Update 38 PC notes.

The Hex-specific standing thresholds and sacrifice items are not listed in the cited official material. Use Arthur’s in-game rank-up screen for the exact requirements currently shown for your account. Warframe Support explains the general syndicate system—rank-ups require sufficient standing and an offered sacrifice, and a sacrifice is required only the first time you reach a rank—but that guidance does not identify Hex-specific costs.
