How to reach Alepsis-Taura in the Core Tower storyline
- At Sentinel’s Keep, do not use the Override Pin if your goal is to reach Alepsis-Taura.
- Choose the branch that leads to the spectral form of Sha’Hala and defeat the boss.
- Wait 24 hours. The wiki’s Core Tower storyline page says the Custodian takes control of N’Erud and flies it into Alepsis-Taura; after the delay, Alepsis-Taura becomes the only fast-travel destination. The location page also states that access becomes available after 24 hours. These pages do not establish whether that timing is real-world time across all current game versions, so treat the interval as the wiki’s stated mechanic rather than a verified universal rule. What happens if you use the Override Pin?
Using the Override Pin selects the physical Sha’Hala fight and destroys N’Erud. The N’Erud storyline page says its locations cannot be revisited in that playthrough and that this branch does not lead to Alepsis-Taura. If you chose it already, the wiki describes the lockout as applying to that playthrough; it does not establish another way to reach the location within that same run. N’Erud storyline page.

What you can collect at Alepsis-Taura
The Core Tower side path lists the Void Heart relic and a Tal’Ratha lore entry. These are associated with the location, not with the separately named boss in The Dark Horizon. Alepsis-Taura location page.
Alepsis-Taura in The Dark Horizon is a different encounter
The Dark Horizon storyline has a separate Alepsis-Taura world boss located in The Convergence. Its preparation and crafting rewards are unrelated to unlocking the N’Erud Core Tower location. The boss’s two manifestations appear in the Agronomy Sector and Withered Necropolis, and the wiki says their status affects both the battle and its rewards. Choose the boss reward before deciding what to destroy

The wiki says you can return to destroy a remaining manifestation if the boss fight is proving too difficult, but changing its status changes the rewards available for the rest of the run. Decide whether you want the Black Mass or Eternity Chamber branch before altering the manifestations; leaving at least one intact is also tied to Insight. - Want the Core Tower location and Void Heart? Avoid the Override Pin, defeat spectral Sha’Hala, and follow the stated 24-hour wait.
- Want Dark Matter Gauntlets? For the separate Dark Horizon boss, destroy a manifestation before the fight to obtain Black Mass.
- Want Monorail? For that boss, leave both manifestations intact to obtain Eternity Chamber.
- Want Insight as well? The boss page says leaving at least one manifestation intact yields Insight; that condition overlaps with the Monorail branch, but not with destroying every manifestation.
