The Spellseal Door south of Bakbattahl leads directly to Agamen Volcanic Island across the Moonswax Bridge, but it is tied to main-story progress. Guides associate access with A New Godsway and The Guardian Gigantus; if the door prompts you to use the Godsbane, do so. If it is still closed, take the longer southern route through Drabnir’s Grotto.
How do I reach Volcanic Island through the Spellseal Door?
- Travel south of Bakbattahl to the Flamebearer Palace Spellseal Door.
- Progress the main story through A New Godsway and The Guardian Gigantus. Guides differ on which quest marks the exact unlock condition, so the door may remain unavailable until you advance further.
- Interact with the door. If prompted, use the Godsbane, obtained during A New Godsway.
- Cross the Moonswax Bridge into the Agamen Volcanic Island region.
- Follow the main path southeast to Volcanic Island Camp, the island’s first settlement and a place with an inn.
This is a walking route: there is no oxcart service to Agamen Volcanic Island. A Portcrystal you have placed yourself or later fast-travel access may change how you travel afterward.
What if the Spellseal Door is closed?
Use Drabnir’s Grotto
Drabnir’s Grotto, south of Bakbattahl, is the alternate way to reach Agamen Volcanic Island before the door is available. From Bakbattahl, head southwest, then south, then southeast to find the grotto; pass through it to reach the island. The route is described as longer and more perilous than the direct door crossing, with caves and cliffs along the southern approach. No measured travel time or level requirement is established.
