If you can’t sign in to your League of Legends account after using a boosting service, start with Riot’s Account Recovery Tool. If it doesn’t work, submit a ticket to Riot Support. Recovering access is separate from appealing a boosting penalty: getting back into the account does not remove a suspension or ban.
First, identify what happened to the account
Use the route that matches your situation. A lost password or changed email is an access problem; a suspension notice is an enforcement issue. You may have both, but they require different steps.

How to recover your account
- Go to Riot’s official Recover Your Account page and open the Account Recovery Tool. Riot describes it as the fastest recovery route for accounts you can’t access.
- Follow the form’s current prompts and provide information that accurately identifies the account. The fields can change, and Riot may ask for more details.
- If the tool does not work, use the page’s support-ticket option. Riot says to submit a ticket as the fallback; a ticket does not guarantee a solution if the account violated its Terms of Service.
- Watch for Riot’s response using contact details you can access, and follow any further ownership-verification requests through Riot’s official site.
Gather ownership details before submitting
Riot may ask for the account email, date of birth, any social sign-in account, approximate account creation date, and the city, province or state, and country where the account was created. It may also request a Riot transaction ID or an app-store transaction ID. Check Riot email receipts or Google Play and Apple purchase history for transaction records. Supply only what the official form or Support requests, and make your best accurate estimate when you do not know an exact date.

Riot defines boosting as another player logging into an account to play a ranked match. Its policy says a ranked match played by someone other than the account’s original creator may be considered boosting, and that both booster and boostee accounts may be punished. Riot also says account sharing violates its rules. If you gave a service your login, explain that truthfully in any recovery or enforcement conversation; do not describe account sharing as a hack unless your account was actually compromised in a separate way.

Use Riot—not the boosting provider or a third-party “recovery” seller—to handle access and enforcement issues. Riot warns against sharing login details and says credentials should only be entered at authenticate.riotgames.com. Check the domain before signing in, and never send your password to anyone. Riot says it can make necessary account adjustments without asking for your password.
Account recovery does not remove a boosting penalty
Riot’s MMR / Elo Boosting – Rank Manipulation policy lists these outcomes for accounts found participating in MMR boosting:

- A League of Legends account suspension lasting 14–180 days, with duration depending on severity and frequency.
- Honor reduced to level 0.
- Exclusion from that season’s ranked rewards.
- A permanent League of Legends ban for a second offense.
The same policy separately lists a six-month suspension for duoing with a confirmed scripter; that is a distinct circumstance, not the standard boosting penalty described above. Riot’s recovery guidance says permanently banned accounts cannot be recovered through the recovery process. Its locked-out guidance also says Support review does not guarantee a solution when an account violates the Terms of Service. If you believe an enforcement action was applied incorrectly, contact Riot Support and provide accurate facts, but do not count on access recovery to reverse it or assume an appeal will succeed.
Secure the account and linked email after recovery
Once you regain access—or while you are trying to secure an account you can still reach—protect both the Riot account and the email address attached to it. Riot’s Protecting Your Account guidance recommends a verified email, multi-factor authentication, and a strong, unique password. MFA options include Riot Mobile or account email; email-verification requirements may vary by region, as Riot notes in its Email Verification FAQ.

- Change any compromised Riot and email passwords. Use a different strong password for each account; a password manager can help create and store them.
- Secure the email inbox itself, since someone who controls it may be able to reset other account credentials.
- Enable MFA using an option available to you, and complete any email-verification prompts Riot presents.
- Review account details and purchase history for changes or transactions you do not recognize. Riot says Support can help investigate unauthorized purchases after recovery.
- If you suspect malware captured your credentials, run a scan with Windows Security or another trusted antivirus before signing in again, then change affected passwords from a device you trust.
- Avoid phishing links and do not give your login details to boosters, recovery sellers, or anyone claiming to be Support.
