Check the total before completing the purchase to make sure the discount has been applied. If it does not appear, do not assume that Plus will apply it for you: check the offer’s eligibility conditions and whether the code is valid for the items in the cart.

The important point is that the code is applied as part of a purchase, not redeemed as a balance or added to your Plus membership. The cart is where you apply it: put the item you intend to buy there, choose Enter Discount Code, and proceed through the prompts. The code’s conditions still determine whether it can be used for the items in that cart. Entering a code does not override the stated restrictions on subscriptions, pre-orders, code stacking, or reuse.
For example, if you have a 10-digit code and are buying an eligible Store item, follow the cart steps above. Keep the distinction between “the code does not qualify for this purchase” and “the Store has a general Plus benefit” in mind. A Plus offer might have separate conditions, but it does not make a discount code eligible for a product category PlayStation excludes. If the discount is missing from your cart
Work through these checks before completing the purchase:
- Confirm the code type. A 10-digit discount code belongs in the cart during checkout. A 12-digit voucher uses the voucher redemption flow instead.
- Check the items. Discount codes do not apply to subscriptions or pre-orders. Review the code’s own eligibility terms for any other item restrictions.
