1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteTo remove the face equipped on your Roblox avatar, open the Avatar Editor, find the face item under Recent or the face category, then select its highlighted icon. If the avatar preview does not update, choose Redraw beneath the avatar image. You do not need to buy anything to remove an equipped face.
Remove the equipped face in the Avatar Editor
-
Open your Roblox account’s Avatar area and enter the Avatar Editor. Roblox’s browser instructions are in Browser: Customizing Your Avatar.
-
Choose Recent or the face category. Roblox says currently worn items should appear near the beginning of Recent. If you browse the category, scroll until you find the face your avatar is wearing.
-
Select the highlighted face item icon. Roblox Support’s removal instruction is: “Tap on the highlighted item-icon.” This removes the item from the avatar; it is not a deletion or refund of the item from your account.

If the face changes only inside a game
A face item equipped in the Avatar Editor is different from facial animation during an experience. Roblox notes that some experiences can use facial-animation values or apply facial animation to an avatar, and support depends on the head and experience. If the face changes during play but the editor shows the appearance you want, the experience may be animating it rather than re-equipping the face. Roblox says avatar animation can be disabled from the Camera icon in the in-experience menu; see Animate Your Avatar.

Want a different look instead?
Removing the current face and choosing a replacement are separate actions. If you want another avatar customization, browse or search the Roblox Marketplace by keyword or title. It is optional; prices and availability depend on each listing, so check the item page before choosing one.
Roblox also gives platform-specific instructions for removing an item from a preview: tap the item again on mobile or press A again on Xbox. Those instructions concern item previews and may not match every Avatar Editor layout. See Will I get my Robux back if I delete or do not like an item?.
