To remove default clothing from your Roblox avatar, open the Avatar Editor and select the worn item to take it off. On a phone, open the item in your inventory and set Wear This to No. If the default look appeared after an avatar reset, check Roblox’s notice for the reason before customizing your avatar again.
Remove clothing in a web browser
- Open Avatar from Roblox’s navigation menu.
- Choose Recent or the relevant clothing category.
- Find the worn item. In Recent, currently worn items appear near the beginning.
- Select the highlighted item icon to remove it.
- If the avatar image does not change, select Redraw beneath the avatar picture. Roblox documents this as the fix when the displayed avatar does not reflect an item you added or removed. See Roblox Support’s browser customization instructions.
Remove clothing on a phone or tablet
Phone
- Open the item you want to remove from your inventory.
- Set the Wear This slider to No.
The app tab may be labeled Avatar or Me, depending on the regional rollout. See Roblox Support’s mobile instructions.
Tablet
Tap More, then Me, and edit your avatar as you would on the website, according to Roblox’s mobile customization instructions.
If Roblox reset your avatar to a default look
Roblox says it may automatically reset an avatar when its systems detect a configuration that violates Community Standards. Check your Roblox messages for the in-app explanation, then use Avatar Editor to customize your look and re-equip items. If the notice includes Report mistake and you believe the reset was incorrect, use that option. Roblox says customer support does not manually review these automated reset decisions. Removing an item does not refund a purchase
Taking clothing off your avatar is an appearance change, not a refund request. Roblox says purchased items generally cannot be refunded after purchase; see its purchase guidance.
