Start with the game’s official support page, in-game help or feedback menu, or official bug-report forum. If an NPC’s lines unexpectedly repeat, overlap, skip, or fail to advance a quest, report a bug. If the dialogue plays as intended but sounds awkward or repetitive, send feedback instead. The exact route and category depend on the game and publisher.
Choose the route that fits the problem
Look for the game’s official reporting channel first; publishers use different names for their forms and categories. Do not assume a command or form used by one game works in another.

Some publishers distinguish a bug from a technical support issue or general feedback. EA’s Battlefield Game Info Hub, for example, directs players to its bug-report forum for bugs, technical support for technical issues, and discussion for general feedback. That classification is specific to Battlefield, not a universal EA or industry-wide route. EA Battlefield Game Info Hub
Find the game’s official channel
- Open the game publisher’s official support site or the game’s in-game help or feedback menu. Look for bug reporting, feedback, localization, text/UI, or audio categories.
- If the support site points to an official forum or community channel, use the route specified for that game. Check whether it accepts bug reports and what evidence or account information it requires.
- Before submitting, check whether the form is a support ticket or a feedback report. A feedback route may not reach customer support or offer an individual response.

- The Elder Scrolls Online: Bethesda says PC/Mac players can file a ticket under Feedback / Bug, submit in-game with
/feedbackor/bug, or open Help with F1. Its in-game report asks for impact, issue category, and description, and includes character and location details. Bethesda says these in-game feedback reports are not sent to its support team and do not receive a response; players seeking help should use/helpor a differently categorized ticket. These commands and distinctions apply to ESO, not other games. Bethesda Support’s ESO bug-report guidance - Bungie games: Bungie’s Help Forum provides separate templates for console/streaming and PC reports. They request platform, reproduction steps, actual and expected results, links, and notes; the PC template also requests system information. Bungie encourages relevant screenshots or a clear screen recording and specifies link hosts its forum can view. Write a report someone can assess
Use a clear subject and stick to what you observed. A concise, reproducible description helps distinguish an in-game fault from dialogue that simply does not work for you. - Steps that lead to it: List the actions in order, as precisely as you can.
- What happens: Quote the repeated line if practical, or describe the overlap, skipped line, or point where dialogue stops.
- What should happen instead: State the expected dialogue or progression.
- Frequency: Say how often you have observed it. Mention a restart or reload only if you have already tried one.
- Evidence: Attach a screenshot or short recording only if the selected channel accepts it.
Keep separate problems in separate reports when the publisher asks for that; EA’s Battlefield guidance, for example, recommends separate threads for distinct bugs. Do not claim a fix was tested if it was not.

Report text, translation, and voice-over problems clearly
Some games provide separate categories for localization and audio issues. Bethesda’s ESO guidance directs spelling, translation, and localization reports to its feedback form: choose UI for text or user-interface issues and Audio for audio or voice-over issues. It requests a screenshot for text/UI reports and asks players to describe when an audio issue occurs; a video URL may also be included. Bethesda says, “If this is an issue with audio/voice overs, please describe when this occurs to the best of your ability.” Those instructions are specific to ESO; use another game’s own evidence rules. A recording can make timing, overlapping voices, or a mispronounced line easier to understand, but accepted formats and upload routes vary. Use only evidence the official channel permits.

Submitting feedback does not always create a support case or guarantee an individual reply. Bethesda explicitly says its ESO in-game feedback reports are not sent to its support team and do not receive a response. If you need help with an account or an issue that requires support, follow the game’s support instructions and choose a support route rather than assuming a feedback form will provide a response.
